Something to consider!
I was looking at the tournament schedule for the 2014 season. I always check out the costs for increases or decreases(yeah right, LOL)! Anyway, costs are pretty much the same and vary depending on whether SSUSA is running the tournament or some independent is running the tournament for SSUSA. You can figure it all out for yourselves.

I did discover one out-of-the-ordinary change. This pertains primarily to California teams. Although we may not quite understand why certain decisions are made, we can be assured that on the top of the list is money. On the other side of the coin and on the top of the list, is listening to what teams and players would like changed. Not always going to happen, but when it does, I want to let it be known to all, that they do listen, and the outcome is not always what we may like.

It is quite obvious to all that play tournaments, that there are so many tournaments in California to choose from and different organizations. For example, in July you could possibly go to Paso Robles, Morro Bay, San Clemente, Huntington Beach, Temecula, Northern California, or THE CALIFORNIA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS(CAL CUP). The reason that I am writing this message, is that the Cal Cup is being held in Southern California this year(Menifee/Hemet). I would hope that the Southern California teams would support this tournament, and go to whatever other tournaments they choose. This is a huge move for SSUSA, and I would hope rotated every other year, North and South, between The Cal Cup and Western Nationals. Let's not disappoint the Northern California teams that will be traveling to Southern California for this one. I know teams have already signed up for the Top Gun tournament in San Clemente, which has a waiting list. Not to lessen the the Top Gun tournament, but I would hope that teams would consider The Cal Cup and/or San Clemente. Thanks for listening and decide for yourselves.

Andy,
Good point about the Cal Cup.
You apparently have a list of 2014 of several different assns. Would you send a copy to me @ awtgroupsc@aol.com?
Thanks,
BW

Andy you are spot on in suggesting that So Cal Teams make a good showing in the Cal Cup. Although the Cal Cup and Western Nationals are a little close in the scheduling for our comfort zone, Git-R-Done Teams are expected to make a good showing of Teams this year in the Cal Cup, God Willing. See you in Phoenix ? Tomar

Take care my friend,

I think they just want to get the dates out there for everyone, we all always like to know that ASAP. I'm sure the costs are subject to change for 2014, I don't think they are set in stone yet.

Duke, you're right that it is only fair to alternate the Cal Cup between north and south. I'll suggest to my team that we try to make it to the southland this year.
