Reebok MeLee....updates
For those of you inquiring....according to Reebok, they are NOT producing and more Melees at this point. There is a possibility that they make another run but it won't be at least till February. It is quite possible that the bat will not come out under the name "Reebok" as it may be under the parent company name "Adidas". For now the Barrage is the only one being made and those are in limited quantities .....I did buy up all the remaining stock of Melees and what I have left is 26/28 end loads and 28/29 balanced models. Get with me quick before those are gone too...!

Alan,
So just to make sure, Reebok is not going to make bats any more? and you have the last remaining stock.

Not necessarily . They are not making anymore Melees right now. Reebok themselves might not make anymore period. Reebok is owned by a parent company. The layers or management and decision making there are like our federal government....it's not always easy to get a straight 100% answer. I am repeating what I have been told to this point. I did purchase a majority of remaining stock. Other people may possibly have some other inventory on hand as well.

Hello Alan and Friends, I too purchased Reebok stock and have both Melee and Barrage bats in stock. I am told a somewhat different story and expect to get more Melee's and Barrages.
Thanks,

I have heard rumors about Reebok for some time, I'm hoping they
keep making the Melees even if it's under a different name. I too have the Melees in stock 26-28 Balanced and 26-29 End load.

Question:

Does the Reebok Barrage have a different material or paint job on the bat barrel than the Reebok Melee?

Why I ask is because I got about 80-100 hits on my Barrage and don't see any signs of webbing like I did with the Melee at about the same number of hits. Is this normal or does the Barrage need more hits to start webbing?

The Barrages finish and coloring are different than the MeLee. You don't/won't need to see webbing on the barrage to show you it's broken in or performing well. A majority of all players with 80-100 hits on a Barrage will be receiving optimum performance levels.

Guys,
Worked again with a new 28 Barrage today. Very, very nice feel and performance. We are at about 180 very solid hits and the balls have been jumping off of it like crazy ever since the wrapper came off. Get one, put 10-20 swings on it and store it away for game day...they are extremely hot. At this point I would say across the line they are perhaps equal to the MeLee in durability but several guys that demo'd them today all felt it had better performance than the yellow MeLee which they all swing now. Each of them immediately purchased the Barrage after one bp session. The 28 had great feel and was easy to swing and adapt to. I have the bats in each size and all of them have hit extremely well. Get with me for any questions.

We got the Barrage 28 to just over 300 hits. At around 205 swings it developed a raised seam going along the barrel. I was sure it would explode quickly after that but it did not. It has continued delivering high performance all the way into the low 300 swing range. Definitely one of the better senior bats out right now and the bats weight distribution is certainly done well. The bat swings through very easily. Any questions get with me. Reebok is just about sold out already!
