Dead Ball Out
I see where SSUSA has went back to home runs over the limit being DBO's in all divisions. This is the rule for the best players in the world the USA national team and should be for senior ball also IMHO. This will help the league teams compete and put defense back in the game.

Obviously pitchers wearing masks being mandatory because of this rule. Middles open. Glad I don't pitch anymore, I play somewhere safe....3rd

BAD decision.....This rule change by the SSUSA knowingly puts the pitchers in a more dangerous situation, hence, the mandatory face mask rule.
How about giving the teams a few more HRs to hit (say, like, 10 in Majors) then a 2-up equalizer? Won't take all the middle shots away, but it would help! Any other thoughts or ideas out there....would like to hear'em!

why should this put the pitchers in harms way anymore, then if there were hrs left...to me it sounds like your gonna go head hunting b/c your not allowed to show how big your bat is....that is really sad......

Well lets see in AA and AAA it was a dbo already after you made your limit. They just stopped M and M+ and gave them the dbo instead of a walk. Spa gives us so many balls and you hit it over you get your own ball. They better look at the fields for most of them are terrible. Some body might get hurt from bad hopes. We are not playing rec. ball are we.
