Nasty rattle in Reebok Melee
has anyone else had this happen??? I have a Reebok Melee that has a nasty rattling in the knob end of the bat when I tap it on the ground......obviously there is something loose but how can it be fixed....the bat is relatively new in regards to usage because I can only use it in tournies.....is it fixable????

Chances are it is excess glue from glueing the knob on to the handle. I have had it happen to me and in my particular case, it had no bearing on the performance of the bat.

This is more than glue loosening....this sounds like a can with muffled coins in it.....is there a rod in the handle like the old mikens had

Ok, I think I described it wrong....this is how I hear it...I grab the barrel and tap the handle knob on the ground....it sounds like a really bad sounding tuning fork......rattling, noisy and it sounds "broken" inside...the bat still hits but the way it sounds, it feel like it is going to explode even though it is very new

I had the same issue with my balance Melee.Just sounded loose when you tapped the knob on the plate or concrete/hardsurface. I returned it for examination and they sent a new bat to me within a week. You might have an issue getting a new one right now if they do not have any in stock.
