New rules and communication
Wow, I've been out of it and just found out about these new rule changes. AZ Elite started out as a 50 majors team, we were bumped up to 50 major plus and we didn't argue, we've never been afraid to compete against the best. When we were young playing A ball we couldn't wait to play in major tournaments. Our attitude hasn't changed. Over half of our team is over 55 but we want to stay together. We love the brotherhood that we have on our squad. My thoughts, only MY thoughts.....
1. I wish we could just show up at a park and play against all the 50 yr old teams. May the best team that weekend win. We've won our share and gotten beat as well. When you lose, you tip your hat and congratulate the other team. Make a vow to try and get better. We'll play anyone anytime. We'll battle, not sure we'll win but we'll battle and that's what we care about as a team. The competition and our teammates. We all love the game of softball, this softball disease that we share. That's why we do this still at our age. The softball sickness.....
2. I personally don't care what the HR rule is. We'll adapt and we'll do our best to compete.
3. I do care about trying to play in the best tournaments with the best competition. Out west we've started a major plus email communication so that we all share where we're playing so we can maximize teams and expenses. Major plus teams please join us and respond with an email address and we'll include you in our communique. There's power in numbers. If we stay together, communicate, then we'll be able to play in well attended tournaments. Whatever the organization is....
Lastly, Marv (god bless him) mentioned our 13-12 game with Nazzareno. He didn't mention the hurricane winds coming in from the outfield to the plate. Thus the score....
4. Sorry I haven't done this earlier. Congratulations to Flip and Nazzareno for winning the 50 major + worlds. I wish we could've given you a better game. No excuses but 5 games in a row on Sunday was too much for our old butts! You guys really rolled through the tourney, congrats again!!
Looking forward to battling in 2014. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

God bless you too David. You and Your team are the real deal. Its always a pleasure when you guys show up. I've never heard our afternoon Temecula ocean breeeze refered to as a hurracane before but it is breezy in the afternoon here. Thus no smog!

Merry Christmas to you as well

We hope to see you soon and bring your cartel with you :O)
