NIW Triad Blackout from Team1 Sports and Alan Tanner
Alan all I can say thanks for the advice and pointing out such a GREAT bat. I hit it this morning, about 50 balls. Farthest was 350 or so. SMOKING hot from the start. In the afternoon I took it to my Wounded Warriors PNW players and holy moly they knocked the heck out of it. One of our young soldiers sat in his wheelchair and hit the dang ball at least 200 ft. It was IMPRESSIVE! You're right. It does sound different to start but it kind of gets in the groove after awhile, and then it's lights out.
Also, thanks for the batting gloves. These guys can't afford this high class stuff...:)... so I usually buy them out of my own pocket. VA Hosp. doesn't spend money on REC stuff, so Me and my Wife kind of foot the bill. Don't get me wrong, we don't mind, just gets kind of expensive when gearing up for the upcoming season.
You should see the smile on their faces when we are able to get good stuff. It's nice to see them when it gets in to their brain that they can still play a game they loved as a kid. They absolutely come out of their shell and they become more of their old self again. Not a lot of whining or complaining from these guys. Love just hanging out with them. They have physical and sometimes mental impairments and I'm old and have both so we get along great..:)
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You make this old war horse proud.

Was privileged to see the Wounded Warriors team in Hendersonville, N.C. last year. Great bunch of kids. Not a pushover to beat them I might add. And now when I find myself wanting to have a pity party for myself I think of these guys who have embrace life no matter what it has dealt them and I fell ashamed that I'm not more thankful for what I have. What a great program, I'm sure it has help many of them readjust to society after their stressful experiences.

thanks for your offer to help. It would be much appreciated by these men and women who have sacrificed so much to allow us to play a game. I honestly don't have a clue on how to go about a fund raising deal. But the equipment someone isn't using would be great! Maybe if someone wanted to sponsor something, they could buy something from Alan and he could forward it to us. I don't know...just thinking. Feel free to email me with your thoughts.

First of all big Mike THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your service, secondly WHAT A WONDERFUL THING YOU DID STARTING WOUNDED WARRIORS again THANK YOU. Finally THANK YOU ALAN FOR YOUR SUPPORT FOR THEM WITH YOUR GENEROSITY. Hopefully when things pick up work wise I can send some money to Mike's address, however maybe Alan could be a go between for some equipment I would like to donate. We are going to be in Arizona March 7,8 and 9 and maybe Alan will be there so I can give this glove to him to get to big Mike. Lewis (Steve Brown Desperados)

Alan, Modi and Lewis..thanks for the kind words. I am doing all I can to help these guys and gals do their best. Believe me, It's an honor and a privilege to do what we do. Truthfully, sometimes you just want to cry. You can see the light come on in the guys eyes when they "GET IT". The realize they can do this. Thanks for offering stuff to help them. I will make sure you all get a signed poster or a shirt or something from us. I will take some video with my phone and upload it so you guys can see these wonderful men and women playing a game we all take for granted....Much Love
