Feb. 16, 2014 The real deal Men's 70 114 posts | Pitcher Protection Unfortunately, a face mask, shin guards, chest protector, and cup have all become necessary equipment for pitchers who want protection from all the hot bats. Any pitchers out there have any recommendations on how to protect the feet? Not sure if there is a steel toe softball shoe out there (Tanel: take notice - might be a hot seller!). The feet seem to be the only part of the body that needs a little more protection. |

Feb. 17, 2014 southernson 280 posts | At what point do the two brain cells collide and realize how "ridiculous" this armor for pitchers has become? Steel toed shoes? Really? How do you say that with a straight face? SSUSA, see what you started? It's like a Seinfeld episode...I can see Kramer packing his bag to go to the park now. And George Kastanza picking up each piece of equipment and just shaking his head... My Father in Heaven, you do have a sense of humor watching us mere mortals get in the hamster wheel of stupidity.... I know, I can see it coming. Someone's gonna write about some famous story about how their steel toed shoes saved their softball life.....Stop already, ROTFLMAO.. |
Feb. 17, 2014 crusher Men's 75 524 posts | This is all wrong. It should 3rd baseman protection. I missed one ball low all season and guess what? My big toe toenail is now about 80% grown back out from the mean softball strik 8 months ago. I SAY SteelToed Spikes for all 3rd Baseman. |
