Southpaw's Birmingham tourney
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who participated. The weather could not have been better and all of you made for a great day of softball, competition, fellowship and fun. I made some new friends and saw many old friends.
Also, if you will let me know if it would be worthwhile, I am thinking about having another 1-day in early April. That would be between the Montgomery and Cartersville tournaments.

Thanks, Tg.
There is a possibility that I can have anothe 1-day on either April 5 or April 12 at the same fields. I can take up to 20 teams. guaranteed 3 games.
IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Steve: 205-647-2881. Thanks

Thoroughly enjoyed the tournament this past weekend. Everyone was as expected in Senior tournaments, very respectful and appreciative of other teams. Southpaw, we (Southern Hurricanes) don't have anything on the schedule for April, so I'm sure we would play in an April tournament. Thanks again for having us.

Steve,
Good tourney as always and your team is much stronger this year. For the new team they have one guy who needs to show some sportmanship as I am nursing a really sore finger from getting kicked after him getting struck out and disputing the call the ump asked me to show him where the ball hit and when I did he kicked my hand. Fortunetely I had teammates that reminded me that we don't retailate or do things like that. Given the benifit of doubt maybe he was kicking at the ball but got my hand but he could have said "opps sorry". I apologized to my team for the short outburst which would have been more than that in younger years, we just don't do crap like that in Senior Softball.

Thanks, Jim, I do think that we are a bit more competitive. Sorry to hear about the incident; I was not aware of anything transpiring. Thankfully, knowing you to be the gentleman you are, it sounds like it was handled well.
You are right about senior softball; that is not the norm for us. 60+ men should know better; I will speak to the manager for sure.

Wow! Cary, I am impressed and humbled. I may have to start giving an award for "Farthest distance traveled"! Thanks to you and your teammates for participating.

Forgot to mention: right hander's glove found on field 2 (60+ teams) in 1B dugout. Please contact me for it.

Steve,

Great event. Hitman #13/Huffman, sorry about your finger.
Our player intended no malice or injury, he went to kick the ball in frustration, not your hand. Hope you are ok.

You gentlemen have a FANTISTIC TEAM. BEST OF LUCK TO YOU ALL IN THE FUTURE. We hope that there are no hard feelings.

No hard feelings just wanted to let him know we don't do that type of stuff in Senior Softball. Two fingers still swollen at the joint and won't close, Sorry about my outburst, but it was reactionary. We hope to do better as we were missing 4 starters.
Hope Steve's tournament gives your team a feel for tournment ball and maybe we see you at a tourney.

Steve,
One of the Huntsville guys playing on Crimm's team lost or left his glove last Saturday. If it's a large Black glove he thinks Wilson or Worth let me know and please bring to Montgomery.
Thanks,

Thanks, Jim. I had turned it into the park director; in the process of securing it and actually will carry it to some of Crim's players this tuesday, in our senior league.

Jim, secured the glove yesterday after church. Since some of Crim's players were practicing nearby, went ahead and delivered it to them. See you in Montgomery. God bless
