I tried a couple of the Easton senior bats this week in Cocoa Beach. The swing much heavier than the Worth Legits.

Bruce what team are you playing with this year. You say if the easton hit well or not. I pre ordered me a 28oz. I have a 30oz. Legit since Dave V. said the the legit swings a little light. I really like the Legit.

Hi Joe, I checked the swing weight of a 26 and 27 Legit as well as a 27 and 28 Easton. If I remember correctly the 26 was around 15.1, the 27 around 15.5 while the Easton 27 was something like a 16 and the 28 Easton about 16.4. I'm sure I am off on those figures but my point is that the Easton's swing weights were almost an ounce more than the Legits.
I'm playing with The Edge/Crystal Pharmacy though not in Myrtle Beach.

Why did you drop plans on doing a review on the Reebok Barrage 2nd batch?

It seems nobody wants to do a Barrage 2nd batch review....

WHY?

Clean Up,
There no way I could tell whats first/2nd batch and I do not trust the sales guys to tell me.
So I'm just going to wait for a while.

Also swung the new 27oz Easton Elder for the second time today with playr25 he has around 175 cuts on it and it still seems pretty stiff. It is getting better.. not sure how many more swings before it is broke in.We were using 44/375 balls. Also this bat has a smaller knob like the Melee.

I did a comparison using a 2-pc 27 oz miken U2 end loaded with approx. 20 swings on the bat, a well broke in 2-pc 27 oz miken U2 balanced and the new Easton Elder 27oz balanced with approx. 75-100 swings. The balls we used were well used classic m various brands and a few baden fire balls. I hit 2-ea. rounds with 30-40 balls in two five gallon buckets rotating the bats during the round. 1st end loaded U2, Easton the Balanced U2. I am no expert but the Easton is already hitting as far as the U2's and I feel Easton has a WINNER with this bat as long as it holds up and time will tell. When I first got the bat it felt like a log and it is getting better with more swings. Hope this info helps.

Unfortinally the first game in Cartersville GA this weekend the Easton broke after 100-120 swings. I wanted to make sure but with all the rain in NW FL I could not hit with the Easton bat until today.

King 44 I guess I've been lucky so far. It took me over 125 swings to break in. Don't know how many hits I have on it now. I guess between 140 too 160 swings. Not broke in enough to hit the ssusa stote ball. My legit and barrage hits this ball the best. Don't plan on bringing the elder to the Mobile tournament this weekend but plan on using it at the SPA tournament in Pensacola.

Does anybody have any idea when the end load version of the Elder will be available? I have a balanced and I like it, but would love an end load. Thanks.

I called Easton today not expecting anything but told them how many swings I had on the bat and it is a non warranty bat and they offered to replace the bat. Thanks Easton.
