Worth legit
I'm thinking of getting the Worth Legit. Does anyone know if there is any difference between the 2014 Legit and the 2015 Legit other than the different exterior color ? Also any input on the swing weight would be appreciated. I've noticed the balanced Mikens always swing lighter so I've always added an extra ounce when ordering these. I've also have found the older Easton's to swing a bit heavier.

Thank you for any input!

Hi,I do not think there is a difference.I have over 400 hits on my 2014 Legit and no signs of stress.I like the look of the 2015 better & as far as swing weight I use the 27oz and it feels perfect. This is a great bat with a huge sweet spot.

Thanks Bruster. Is a 27 oz what you normally swing? 400 hits sounds good to me. I love the balanced Ultra II's, they just don't last. I'm not a power hitter but they don't last 3 or 4 tourneys before they crack.

Several years ago I heard that the Ultra II Balanced would not last. I had been using mine for 3 years in tourneys and play in 2 leagues. Convinced it would break at anytime I gave it away. My teammate has had it for 4 seasons. It's been in use for 7 seasons and still performs well. My new Ultra II has been in use for 4 seasons. How's that for the theory that Ultra IIs don't last.

Ceres, I think you got lucky to have one last that long. You're bat is obviously an older one which is a 1.20. My first U II also had the 1.20 stamp and that bat lasted over one year before it cracked. That bat took a little while before it got broken in and to tell you the truth, I wasn't sold on them even though everyone was using them. Once it got broken in, that bat was sick. I don't think I've ever hit a softball so far. That was my first senior bat. I have since bought 2 more but they come with a 1.21 stamp. While these have come really hot out of the wrapper, both of those developed cracks going around the barrel and both of those didn't last 4 tourneys. I'm convinced that the 1.21 either have slightly thinner walls or the materials used are slightly different ( which I doubt ). I would buy in second more of the older 1.20 Ultra II's if they were available.

Also if you are not a power hitter you will not have any problems with the durability of the Legit.

How does distance & sweet spot compare between: Legit, Reebok Barrage & Ultra 2 TOC?

I think the Legit is the best of the 3. The Legit is a fantastic bat in distance, feel and durability. The Barrage, Melee or Ultra 2 Maxload 2 piece for for EL.
The Big Cat 2 Piece Ultra for a 1 oz end load is fantastic.
The Legit is very easy to hit with being balanced and to me does not sacrifice distance. The end loads are great but harder to swing if you are tired.

bluster, thanks again for the input. I just ordered the 2014 model. I'm hoping there is no difference between the 2014 & the 2015 except for the exterior finish. If the bat is good as I'm hearing, I don't think Worth would have changed the chemistry of a winner.

Hey, anyone thinking of using the Legit is thinking right. I have two, 27 and 28 Oz. Both are stellar performers. I also have the endload two piece Miken and I like my Legit's better. A very forgiving bat. I have hit some tape measure shots with the bat and the fact that it's balanced has zero affect on distance. Worth has done a good thing with this bat, I also hope they didn't screw up the 2015 and just changed the graphics. My 2 Cents

Bruster, I got got the bat Friday. We had a tourney in Nor Cal this weekend and used it for a half dozen swings during bp each day. Crap, it's as hot out of the wrapper as any bat I've ever tried. I still want to get 30-40 swings on it before using it in a tourney. I stayed with the Ultra Max Load for this tourney but I have a feeling that will be changing. I really like the feel of the Legit.

Not that it matters at this point, But I wonder how much difference if any there is between the Legit and the balanced 2 PC Ultra II since both Worth and Miken are owned by the same company.

I just got my 27 yesterday and I went out still with the wrapper on and within the first ten swings the ball was flying at least 320. I am not a power hitter I am only 5'8" 180 give or take. This bat without a doubt is the hottest thing out. I prefer EL and have the Ambush and Reebok 27EL. They don't COMPARE to this thing. It only has about 30 swigs on it and it is already hotter than my other two seniors. I am playing 55AAA in Richmond this wknd. I pitty that 6-5 hole. If U R playing third, play on the grass...just a warning. LOL...Mis dos centavos.

I used my 2015 Legit (27 oz) fresh out of the wrapper in the Temecula Invitational tournament in May for 5 games. No complaints!

I also play in the North County Competitive Division league in Carlsbad on Tuesdays and Thursdays, along with 2 Open Division games on Sunday's. All include BP prior to game time.

Now with approximately 400 swings on my Legit and using a good mix of balls, I can share my honest assessment regarding its performance and durability so far.

Balls used:
40/325
44/375
47/450
52/300

Sweet Spot:
6" total and a 3" active zone right at the R in the Worth decal and is expected to increase as I put more hits on it. The bat does have very good pop.

Feel:
Nicely balanced and solid when hit within the active zone. I haven't had any vibration during mis-hits.

Durability:
So far, no spider webbing, chips or rattles!

Price:
$176 to $230 - I bought mine for $186 including 2 day shipping from Cheapbats.com

Conclusion:
The bat feels and performs like the 2014 model - I don't see a difference and has definitely opened up since its first use. There is no question the bat will get hotter the more it's used. At this point it's a matter of durability. I'll give another report at 700 hits.

Not the biggest sweet spot offered on the market, but doesn't matter to me - it's fine how it is.

I do like the balanced feel, which gives me total control, especially since I'm a base hitter and use the entire field.

Don't let the balance of the bat fool you though, it has lots of pop for the home run hitters too!

If offered in a reload (1/2 oz) or endload (1oz)...it would be either a super charged Jeff Hall or Resmondo Legit.

The 2015 Legit is a great choice for those looking for a high performance well balanced bat.

Hope this helps!

WT, $186 is a great price for that bat. 5 he cheapest I found it was over $200. I'm hoping it's the same bat ( 2014 ) as the 2015 model although I just saw a post from Alan at Team 1 Sports who mentioned the 2014 had issues where the knob would fly off. I've never seen a knob separate from a bat and I certainly hope I do not see that anytime soon with mine. I didn't think to ask Alan about this particular bat as he doesn't stock these on his website. I got my Ultra Max load from him in the off season and he was very helpful and even responded thru an email on a Sunday.

This bat felt as good out of the wrapper as any senior bat I've tried and the balanced feel was awesome. Can't wait to start using it, I just hope the knob doesn't go flying in a different direction than my bat!

Very satisfied with this bat performance but the end cap came off in about 75 swings. In interesting the other bats i.e. ASA or Utrip bats don't have so meany issues as the senior ones do or at least not to my knowledge and experience. Same manufacturer why so many issues with senior bats...? What glue is recomended to use and procedure? Thanks for your advice. Very dissapointing.

Paco, should be an easy fix. I had the end cap come off a yellow M M a few years ago. Clean off dust and any loose material off both the end cap and the end of the barrel. Apply a continuous small bead of a good quality adhesive around the inside edge of the barrel and a small bead around the end cap. Push the 3rd cap back in place and wipe off any excess adhesive from the exterior of the bat and let the adhesive dry for a day by standing upright on the end cap ( this will keep the adhesive at the end of the bat ). After. A day, you should be good to go.

Paco, if the end cap is just the really thin part of the end cap..... that happened to one of mine as well. I used Loctite marine epoxy on 7 Legit handles with no issues. BUT, when I tried it on the end cap [twice] it did not hold. Worth informed me that because I had tried to fix it myself that they would not fix it for me. So before you try to epoxy it, call Worth. Good luck.

Thanks guys. I looked at it and is the red cap of the end cap that came off and is cracked. I e-mail Alan the pictures and he told me to call worth and that most certainly they will send me another one. I don't think that it can be safely fixed. I am calling worth this morning. I am hoping to get the replacement back for next wknd for the ISSA tourney in Salem, VA. Again thanks.
