Pitcher's Shin Guards
While on the subject of safety for pitchers, I can make a suggestion on what shin guards are excellent to wear [in my opinion]. The best thing on the market are the Gerry Davis umpire shin guards. They are light weight, very easy to move around in, and are easy on and off.

You can find them on Gerry Davis' website, as he sells umpire equipment, or find some cheaper on eBay.

Just a heads up if some of you guys are interested.

I wore them for a long time when I umpired HS baseball, and you could really feel a difference as you had to wear them under your pants.

To be more exact, they are made by Wilson, are called the DaviShins.
