RV: Simple solution..Don't play any SSUSA tourneys..Having played both, you just need to play by their rules. If you don't like it..don't play..Simple as that..

Because they use the single or walk after HR's are used up. At least they do in the Major plus division.

mario...that should never be the reason the pitcher needs to wear a mask.....getting tired of the "well we are out of hrs,so now we have to light up the pitcher,by going middle" crap.....do all hr hitters hit their hrs to center....don't think so.....hit it thru 3rd or 1st holes.....

mad dog i'm just stating what I have personally seen. I don't hit at the pitcher, there are times i'll hit middle but almost always don't hit him. I'm just telling what I have expeienced sine the home run rule change. The reason that SPA did not make it a mandatory rule for pitchers to wear face mask is they know the big hitters can still swing away when HR's are gone. SSUSA knew that the pitcher would be at risk with the new HR rule thus the mask rule. I agree that it should not be a factor, but I'm also a realist and have to tell what I have experienced. As a Major Plus player I don't want anyone to get hurt because we are out of HR's and an infielder gets hurt because someone was trying to keep it in the park. It just makes no sense to me that we get to use the best bats in the universe and they make changes that could get someone hurt. Thats all I'm saying!!!!
