Some proto's were out for awhile for testing and they were awesome; would be a great addition to an already hot Z family.

I believe this bat may have been on the market for a short time and then pulled, possibly due to durability issues. I found it for sale today on one website but you had to call for a price. I did not proceed through the ordering process to see if it was actually in stock. I hit a prototype and it was very hot! The proto was probably too hot to be approved.

Texas: There are several sites like you mentioned, but they are taking pre-orders only when released.

Got it! Interesting that it's already on the approved bat list when it's not available.

TT. It makes sense to get it approved before 100's or 1000's are produced. jmo

Titan,

Don't disagree that there should be a way to get the bat approved before producing 1,000's. However, I've read accounts of this bat and the GSC bat being used in tournaments. It doesn't seem to me that its use should be allowed until it is available to the general public.

By the way, I finally broke the prototype this morning and, despite my earlier comments, this particular one was very durable. I've been hitting it since late November and probably have put 2,000 to 2,500 swings on it, including some in marginal temperatures. That being said, we had a second one which a 50-ish former Super Major open player broke in his first round.

Found out from a bat distributor that they have been notified by Louisville that the Hyper-Z will be out in Febuary 2015.
