Reebok Barrage
Bought a Barrage on ebay in March. Verified that it was not from the 1st batch. Took it out of plastic bag and wrapper this past Sunday (6-1-2014). 80 degree day. After the 5th swing, bats paint started chipping. Some came off about 1" x 2" size.
Every swing more came off. Stopped at about 10 swings. I know there is no warrenty, but I feel this is ridiculous. Any contact number for Reebok or any suggestions ?

How were you able to verify which batch the bat was from?

Emailed them. They told me they waited to place their order because they new of the problem the original batch had.

Somebody that you emailed informed you that it was a different batch without any sort of proof?

You should send it back to Reebok

Send it with a letter asking for a refund explaining that you have been a loyal Reebok customer and the bat started to peel after 5th hit be sure to give them your contact information. When I did this they contacted me right when they got it and gave me a full refund.

I have a Reebok barrage that broke within 40 swings as much as i like reebok..they have no durability at all..this is getting rediculous..i have a second bat..the melee end load with 25-30 swings on it and its broke as well..reebok does nothing about them..hmm starting to second guess my own smarts..

Read the above posts from dandy12....

According to dandy12 you send an e-mail to somebody and somehow your bat gets verified.

What ever that means....

Maybe that's like having the bat blessed or something.

Sent a Barrage back with less than 40 hits (30oz) and it was received on May 29th. I heard from them Friday saying they were sorry for the failure and that a full refund check would be issued in 5 to 8 weeks. Now it you just reviewed and approved refund why does it take so long to get the money refunded???????????

I actually sent my Barrage back to Reebok with the info Alan gave me. They then contacted me by phone to inform me they would send a refund check for the full amount in 5 to 8 weeks. The check arrived in less than 2 weeks.

Reebok has a couple of customer service numbers you can now try if necessary. Don't forget to return the bat with your receipt from an authorized Reebok dealer. More and more companies are refusing to consider ANY returns unless the product was purchased directly from an authorized dealer. Maybe you can or maybe you can't save $5 on ebay but consider the potential issues that could lay ahead and the lack of customer service....there are several very reputable guys around the country that you are much better off dealing with. Myself, Mike Macenko, and Ed Andrews I think are all sold on helping our customers getting the best product they need at competitive pricing. It's worth speaking with a knowledgeable , honest bat rep as compared to not knowing what you get elsewhere. (Is that considered a shameless plug ?) :) !

Thanks to all that helped. All the information was correct. I should be receiving my refund check in 5-8 weeks. Worth a try if you have a bad one.
