| July 23, 2014 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | EASTERN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2014 DRAFT Game Schedules & Brackets DRAFT Game Schedules and Brackets for SESSION #1 of the 2014 Eastern National Championships in Raleigh, NC, have been posted and are available from the links below and on the event's Tournament Page ... As always, these TENTATIVE schedules are subject to change and become final ONLY when released as "OFFICIAL" at the Manager's meeting before play commences ... NOTE: Managers who do NOT attend the Manager meeting will be presumed to be fully informed on ALL matters (such as schedule changes, tourney formats and rules issues) discussed at the meeting. Tournament rosters are frozen as of the Managers Meeting. NO on-site player additions are allowed, as all roster changes were previously approved through the Sacramento home office ... Managers who do not attend Manager Meeting, and do not send a representative, will be prohibited from beginning tournament play before check-in with Field Director. The Master Games & Fields Grid, Participating Teams List and an aerial map of the Walnut Creek Softball Complex have also been posted ... Good luck to all! | Aug. 1, 2014 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | ADVERSE WEATHER UPDATE Friday play has been suspended for the day due to heavy rain and thunder storms ... Two rounds of seeding games were completed ... The remaining Friday schedule (two rounds/15 games) will play Saturday morning beginning at 7:30 AM (weather permitting), after which the normal Saturday schedule will commence ... The FORMAT of Saturday games, until the schedule is "caught up", will be 5-Inning games, with the 5th Inning being the "open inning", and using a "0-0" starting pitch count ... These games should take about an hour each to play, and hopefully the Saturday schedule will be back on track by early afternoon ... All PLAY/NO PLAY decisions will be made at the fields of play ... Please be present and ready to go ... Thank you! |
| Aug. 2, 2014 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | SUNDAY REVISIONS The City of Raleigh cancelled all play at Walnut Creek at about 1:30 PM this (Saturday) afternoon ... Play was cancelled on Fields #6-9 at 6:30 AM Saturday ... The Sunday schedule has just been completed (8:00 PM EDT), under the following formats ... SEEDING GAMES The final 50-AAA seeding game and Women's Division seeding games will resume their suspended games at 7:00 AM and complete the balance of their seeding at 8:00 and 9:00 AM ... The two remaining 60-AAA games were cancelled since the three affected teams all played two games prior to the play stoppage ... BRACKET FORMAT All Brackets will play Single Elimination format on Sunday, using only Fields #1-5 in the (lower) Wheel #1 ... Fields #6-9 in the (upper) Wheel #2 have already been declared unplayable for Sunday by the City of Raleigh ... Games will ALL be 5-innings, with the 5th inning being the "open inning" ... DIRECTORS The on-site Tournament Directors are currently in the process of calling all teams to advise them of first game times for Sunday ... BRACKET STARTS The Brackets will begin on the following schedule ... The Bracket Boards will have subsequent game and field assignments ... MEN'S 40/50-MAJOR+ 9:00 AM MEN'S 50/55-PLATINUM 1:00 PM MEN'S 50-AAA 10:00 AM MEN'S 55/60-PLATINUM 12:00 PM MEN'S 55/60-GOLD 11:00 AM MEN'S 60-AAA 8:00 AM MEN'S 60-AA 7:00 AM WOMEN'S 40-GOLD 12:00 PM WOMEN'S 40-AA/50+ 2:00 PM |
