Passing of a Hero
With a heavy heart, I am passing on the information of the death of a Warrior. PFC Gabriel Foster died over the weekend from injuries sustained while deployed to Afghanistan. He was 19 Years old and and a Veteran of the war in the middle east. While he wasn't able to play ball with us, he was out cheering squad and unofficial mood elevator. He LOVED watching ball games, practice, anytime we were playing anything, he was there. I got to know him really well and we bonded closer than I have to anyone else, since starting Wounded Warriors PNW. He did have anyone out here so we would bring to our home and hang out and watch games, eat bad food, drink beer, cry, laugh, get mad, get sad, get happy. He called me Gpa....God I love that kid.
