Tournament Balls
In the spirit of the staff post re: game balls.

Remember, when you are flying to ring tournaments you have limited space in your ball bag.

One of the really "BAD" perks of getting knocked out of ring tournaments early is that you accumulate a stock pile of new balls. Being sure that we will use the Stote in Vegas and want more than the 6 you get, I bring 3 brand new ones and 3 like new. Get there and they are using the Rock.

Assuming SSUSA has switched to the Rock, I bring 3 new and 3 like new Rocks to Ft. Meyers and they are using the Stote.

Staff, can you post what kind of ball will be used in future ring championship tournaments.

We've aways hit the stote ball at the TOC. In the southeast we have never used the Rock. Always the stote ball. The stote ball is much cheaper than the Rock.

We can't Control the STOOOPID BATS, but BALL Selection can somewhat Help. If I recall correctly, I believe SSUSA/LVSSA is on Contract thru 2006 using the Rock at Worlds in Vegas!?

SSUSA uses the Rock at the SW's and the World Championships both played in Vegas. All other tournaments the Stote is the official game ball. (Texas and Florida Half Century Balls are also legal for tournaments other than the Vegas tournaments. Described by Sacramento as a Stote with a different cover)

Jdub, I think you mean 2016. I fully expect there to be ONE ball next year, STOTE only except for the World Championship. All other tourney SSUSA Stote.

Not unless they are moving the SW's which are played in Vegas under LVSSA/SSUSA.
