Miken Triad Blackout
Has anyone hit the Miken Blackout and how money cuts does it take for break in. Does it take more cuts than the Freak Black. Merry Christmas to all.

I have the Miken Blackout as a batting practice bat. It took about 300 swings for it to open up. Decent bat plus a warranty is why I bought it.

I play in a local league and it seemed everyone swears by the Miken products, so I bought the Ultra II. Broke it apart in weeks.
Bought the Blackout due to the 90 day warranty and have beat the heck out of it since April of 2014. The Ultra II was hot right out of the wrapper and the Blackout took maybe 100 swings to loosen it up. I have a lot of bat speed and it has held together very well. I am please with my purchase.
I have not hit the Freak so cannot speak on it.
Just my 2 cents.

I hit 27 bp cuts with the Blackout yesterday and for tha amount of swings I was pleased. Sounded different. Hit few over a 310ft fence and hit great line drives at the end of the BP. Plan on hitting more with it as soon as the temp. gets above 60 which may be a while.

Mine broke at around 2000 using 44/375 balls. Started rattling a bit before it cracked. Opened up for me at around 500-600 swings. Fully broke in at 800. Hit some of my longest balls with this bat. That could be, because I swing it in BP only. If you make a good swing and hit the 2 inch sweet spot it crushes the ball like any good senior bat. BTW, if Miken sends me a warranty bat it will be the Miken Freak Black 26oz EL. The Blackout I brake was a 28oz. Thanks

Update on the senior blackout. I guess I got lucky for the blackout hits as well as any of my senior bats. Hits as for as the Big Cat and the 12"Dudley. I only have around 170bp swings on the black out and my 12"Dudley. Plan on hitting breaking in both of them today.

I have a 28 oz Blackout and it has about 800 hits on it. There was a dramatic change in the sound and performance at around 400 hits. It's a nice balanced bat once it gets broken in.
