Improve Game Performance..Focus on BATHEAD into the BALL Swing Makeover 25
Good hitters drill to learn the techniques of hitting, but use a simple focus at the plate. If you are struggling in game situations, this episode shows how to think only of the body pulling and snapping the bathead into the ball. Its an amazingly simple and effective way to create a natural swing and eliminate overthinking.

Good video.

Question, does your back foot come off ground when you hit?

Mine does not, could it be I am not timing my swing or chasing the ball.

I would say on all good swings, since there is a stride and the body must come forward the length of the stride and because the hips rotate fully, the rear foot will be dragged on the toe forward (or even behind the hitter) or come up in the air momentarily during hip rotation and weight transfer...As the rear hip rotates, it goes from facing the catcher to facing home plate...rotates 90 degrees plus or minus, so it moves forward some in its arc. I think the back foot dragging or lifting momentarily, is a good indication of a positive stride and weight transfer and of a good rotation of the hips and body. Watch good swings on and you see it. Reasons for you being buried on back foot...Good chance one of the above.

Thanks bogie.
I will be working on shifting my weight fwd and rotation this spring. Not just striking the ball.

Crusher one little thing to try is put a box or something you won't accidently turn an ankle on against your back foot. When you swing if you hit the box you are driving away from the ball which is wrong technique. Also after your swing look at where your back foot is in relation to the box to see how much you drove into the ball. Get some feedback see where your best result is. Don't lunge forward just to be moving forward, but as part of your swing exploding through the ball. Hope that makes sense. Hope it helps.
