TEAR OF THE ADDUCTOR , ALSO KNOW AS ATHLETIC PUBALGIA
I had this surgery in December of 2013 in Omaha. Dr Thomas Webb, a vascular surgeon, did it. Sewed the torn Ab muscles back. Used mesh. Quick recovery, back full go at 6 weeks. Lived with the pain for a year. PT did no good prior to the surgery. Blue Cross/Blue Shield covered it. Very similiar to a hernia surgery per Dr Webb.
I had trouble finding a doctor that did this or knew what the problem was. I got my intll by calling University of Nebraska football trainer to get a lead on a doc in Omaha. Athletic department very familiar with AP.
I'd call around to a D-1 football program near where you live and see if they could assist with info.
