New Hyper Z pretty impressive!
Just got done hitting the new Louisville Slugger Hyper Z. There were four of us (all 50 Major Plus players) hitting on a hardball field with a 345-foot fence. Everyone swung their own bats for a round of 40 swings then the Louisville Hyper Z for 40 swing each. We were hitting the Ultra II, the GSC, and a couple of different Combats. The Hyper Z was by far the best bat in terms of overall performance-exit speed and carry/distance. Each player hit the ball farther/ more home runs with the new Hyper Z (fresh out of the wrapper) than with their own bat. Not sure of durability yet as we only put 160 swings on it today. But as far as performance goes it was the best bat in the park!

Used a 26 ounce end loaded inside batting cage this past Sunday. Ball seemed to come off bat quicker than with my Ultra II.

Will learn more about distance when it warms up here in Louisville and we are able to get outside and hit.

Everyone hitting one seemed to like what they saw.

Good to hear. Been waiting on one for awhile. Bat was suppose to be in hand the first week of February. Looks like the middle of March.

I got to swing one in Vegas. Usually swing a 27 ounce balanced Z3000. The one I got to swing in Vegas was 26 ounce.

Was told they swing heavy. The 26 felt great. How big is the sweet spot. Been reading that they feel more balanced than end load.

Any insight on the bat would be appreciated. Glad you like it.

Wow. Another better than the rest Senior bats and you as fools will by it. I got few friends that still have senior bats in the wrapper, because they buy the next great one before they get a chance to use the old great one. LOL. Guys a senior bat is a senior bat 301 feet is the same as a 400 feet. Wait a year and you get a great senior bat at very good discount.

I think bats are like computers and iPhone every year there is something better coming out, Technology,
I'm the opposite, I talk to seniors with old bats from 5-10 years ago and tell them they need to keep up with technology, I'd say the same as if you still had a flip phone,
I keep on hearing that 301 is the same as 400, try saying that when the wind in blowing in or your hitting socks and the game is on the line.

Playr 25. The new Hyper Z has a slight end load feel but nothing compared to the z3000 or z4000. I would recommend if you like an end load buy a bat an ounce heavier than what you normally swing. The bat needs about 50 hits to break in.

I have hit the hyper Z now for a few months and its as good or better than any other senior bat.

Paco13 anyone can hit it 301 but when I laser the 6 hole with my new Hyper Z all your SS will do is say WOW!

Super V 10 I did hit a bomb into the 30mph wind two weeks ago that went 320 feet. Enough said there and I agree technology keeps getting better.

Louisville has done a great job making this bat worth the $$$$$.

Benji4, actually I do play SS and I that is exactly what I say...WOW, but that is the case with any senior bat. Senior ball has become almost one dimensional which I believe it is bad for the sport...but that is a different topic. Senior bats is a big business and we will keep it going...we all like new toys.

I agree with Paco's first post above....another bat that is better than the _______________ (fill in your greatest bat ever here).....we have 3 feet of snow on the ground, it is 20 below zero and softball is only a dream right now.....and NOW I hear about another greater than the greatest bat ever bat being made now......we should all be hitting over 500 feet by now....my drives in golf are up to 600 yds because I keep buying clubs that will add 40 yards to my drive....my seven iron goes 285 because I added 13 yards every time I switched to a club......so we get it, I have one question, does the original poster sell? these bats by any chance.....just wondering

I brought this up in an earlier post how "better than" bats keep coming out. My thought continues to be the following: If a bat cannot exceed 1.21 on the performance scale then the new bat entries into the market cannot physically perform too much better than the older bats that also meet 1.21. The bat companies are between a rock and hard place here in that they can't afford to put out too durable a bat because sales would fall due to bat life. Likewise the bat has to perform to a certain level to ensure product loyalty. It's at this point that the marketing department takes the reins to sell the product to the market. We are now at a point where durability and gimmicks are taking center stage because bat performance is stagnated by the 1.21 high water mark for performance. Example: Did we need 2 piece bats again if the single piece bats were already making the 1.21? It brings to mind the wild bat gimmicks that were out in the 1980's, the Tidal Wave, the Axe Handle, the Zig-Zag handle, etc. That said, I'm still a sucker for the new bats. As is the case with most everyone, I too am still searching for consistant lightening in a bottle when it comes to bats.

1.21 bpf is just that. Companies can increase durability, sweet spot handle flex etc.... There is only 1 way to make a bat hit farther and still pass the test. Of all of the bats I tested none have figured it out.

tattooball...it seems like the players never understand that point....1.21 bpf is all they get.......

That Hyper Z Mango talked about now has 275 hits on it and no cracks. Three of the guys hitting it were 6'4 and over 250lbs. The balls were flying 360 feet plus. The bat is impressive.

And for the record I played league the other night and the only bats allowed were aluminum single wall. The problem: only one guy had a decent bat we all had to use. And fields with no fences.

So tatooball, are you suggesting that the 1 way to do this has not been figured out? If so, please share with us what that procedure is.

There is no procedure, every company knows it will work no one has figured out how to make it work.
