Qusetion
Is the rule for player rankings being enforced? How can the War Eagles be rated a a AAA 60 TEAM.
They have 2 60 major + players & a major player. According to the rules your allowed to play down one division, which means plus can go to major & major can go down to AAA. You can have 2 majors on a AAA Team, but according to the rules this team should be a major ranked team. Don't
undetstand why an acception is being made for this team. Just asking.i

The rule is you can have up to 3 players with higher classifications playing with your team...that means 3 majors for a AAA team or 3 major+ for a major team. Shouldn't be able to skip two brackets without an exception. Aloha, Fabe

srrunner - At your request, we are "chiming in" with our (only) contribution to this message thread ...

• The two players who have the prior 60-Major+ rating experience history have both, independently and prior to this calendar year, had medically based exemptions granted to reduce their official rating experience history ... They submitted the required paperwork, accompanied by doctor's correspondence in support of their requests, and their appeals were approved;
• There is, as asserted, one other player on the roster that has 60-Major rating experience history ... Teams are permitted a maximum of three "out of rating" players ... The individuals referenced above are those three allowed for this team's roster;
• The team currently meets the official roster composition criteria for a 60-AAA team ... That should not be confused with any "unofficial" (and uninformed) public speculation ... We believe that if teams spent only, say, 10% as much time worrying about their own team as they do other teams, they would most likely have a better ball club ...

Follow-up questions, if any, should be directed to George in the SSUSA Home Office at (916) 326.5303 ...

Not sure who from senior softball answered this, but the last point (of the 3) is truly hilarious. I have read that 3 times and it still cracks me up. Well done. It hurts cuz its true....

It funny how a simple question results in backhand accusations.
SSUSA Thank-You, for explaining the rule, but your kicker on the end wasn't needed. All teams & players have questionson rules if we don't ask how are we to gain a better understanding? This is why I don't spend a lot of time here. Again thanks for clarification.

SSUSA Hitts doesn't run his team and was only asking a question a lot of other players and teams had. I am insulted at your last point and feel it was totally out of context. Hitts plays for a team that won last years western nationals.

Thank-You fastsam for your observation. After thinking about the response from ssusa. I decided to call and asked who was responding for them as to questions on the MB. Tiffany was very gracious in her efforts to assist me for a resolve and stated she'd get back to me. Still waiting.
So let put some facts to the ssusa response.
Last year I asked about a player reclassification and was told I had to wait 2 yrs. I was also told player were only allowed to play down 1 division Maj to AAA. a player going from m+ to AAA IS A DROP OF 2. ALSO the coach I played for last year was informed he could have only 2 Maj player on his AAA roster.I asked about a reclassification back to AAA I informed them of my shoulder separation separation. They mention nothing about having my Doctor send a note to assist in the change in status. (2)the individuals mentioned as sending medical info for status change were sent in last year, which is bull. I played tourneys with one and league the other, one had completed his surgery and played Maj all 2014 season, the other is still waiting to address his issues in the coming months. So nothing was on file a year ago.
The War Eagles won the spring world in Mesquite as predicted. There is always talk about parity and the need to have teams play in the right division. I guess ssusa has someone turning a blind eye to certain concerns.

It’s obvious from your “prediction” of who was going to win Spring Worlds that you might be personally biased concerning that subject. It doesn’t seem fair to the rest of us that played in the Spring Worlds that you would “assume” they would win.

Congratulations to the War Eagles for doing what we all strive to do in every tournament; get a high seed, stay in the winner’s bracket and get timely hitting from your players.

Everybody had to play in the 90+ degree weather, with the sun in the outfielder’s eyes and some even had to play on the baseball fields. And it took it’s toll on everyone that played, including the War Eagles.

Scrap Iron Diamonds played 7 games, Rezults played 8 games and Veterans 1st played 9 games. Sounds like none of those teams were ready to “give” the crown to the War Eagles.

As to parity, almost half the games played were won by 2 or fewer runs. And if you asked any of the other 12 teams in the tournament, your “prediction” would have been met with a lot of skepticism.

IMHO, Kentucky may indeed win the NCAA Tournament, but Notre Dame didn’t think so, nor do I imagine Duke, Michigan State or Wisconsin do either. That’s why they play the games, sir.

As to all the teams that played in Mesquite last weekend, great job and I look forward to playing against you guys again in Vegas if the good Lord grants me my wish of being able to play this game called softball!

should be toward ssusa for their snide remark and witty underlining.can we please all get along

I'm not bias on this subject, remember I stated up front at one time or another I played with over half the war eagles on various teams. I harbor no Ill will towards the team or any of the player. My og question was about the number of major & major+ players allowed on a AAA Team. My perdiction as to the outcome of the Spring tourney was my observation of this team's playing ability prior to the event. No disrespect the participant, but I wasn't wrong as to the outcome. Good teams get moved up and this is a good team.

this is all nice cause the rules only apply to some not all. Just participated in spring nationals in polk county fla.( fields sucked as usual) and there was a major team with 5, count them 5, major plus players. Whats the rule? PS... by the way I am not worried about this team just the rule violation.

Hey Jef.... What's a Qusetion? LOL In regards to my playing ability, you know me! You really think I am in any condition to play Major+?? I can't hardly run to 1st base, let alone try for extra bases... I guess I should have checked with you after getting a note from my orthopedist. I did what is required to be re-rated down to Major, from Major+. Had you or whatever manager you played for actually asked SSUSA or read their rules, you would then know that you can have 3 higher rated players on a lower rated team. As long as it is only one division higher. I love the game & want to play with a bunch of my friends on a local team. They happen to be AAA & I, as stated in the SSUSA rules, am 1 of 3 higher rated players on a AAA team. We have a good team that plays well together, both on & off of the field. Hopefully we will win again. But by no means did we blow any teams out of the water. I'm sure that Results is chomping at the bit to beat us. They are a great team & they may very well do that. In Mesquite we just happened to be the best team, on that weekend. Who knows what will happen this weekend in Las Vegas..... We will try our best to win again. If the softball Gods see fit to let us win, then so be it. But I guarantee that 18 other teams are looking to kick our asses this weekend. And if they do, I won't be crying about it.

Didn't observe typo. lol
No one questioned your love of the game or your ability. When you hit bombs like you do you don't have to run the bases and if you base hits you get a CR.
I asked for a rule clarification on the info I had.
When people start attacking the question it shows something funny is in play.
Last year when I asked for clarification on moveing back down to AAA SSUSA informed me I could play on a AAA team if I was one of 2 higher ranked on the team, now its 3. Last year when I asked to be moved down due to injury and not being able to compete at the higher ranking. I was told I'd still have to wait 2 years to move down. Now they say a medical letter can get you a change. This just shows the inconsistencies in the rules and the implication of them & those providing the answer to players and coaches.

Talk about avg. run when You are discussing tie breakers
AVERAGE runs means nothing when the W is posted. It just means there was good defense in the games & hitting was somewhat balanced. Fact remains in most cases stronger teams WIN

SSUSA RESPONDED to my inquiry.
THIS TREAD CAN BE DELETED. It's no longer required.

Why are you dragging this out let it go. I got a response from your friend on the SSUSA staff, inappropriate response, but it was RESPONDED to. Your continuing to rehash things raises questions.
You played this weekend finished 5th still a top their team. Great job. Reno prediction, no longer going to play this game with you.
