The "snowbird" term describes a player who lives in multiple places during the calendar year and is a category of registration that allows him to play in both places if he meets all of the criteria. A "snowbird" may play in his home state and bordering states AND the "snowbird" state (but not its bordering states). Snowbird status is not available to a player wishing to play on a Major+ team in the 50+ through 70+ age groups, but Major+ teams have other options that are available. There is more information on the actual form available here (from the menu bar above: TOURNAMENTS ► FORMS ► Snowbird Form). If any additional questions, please call the SSUSA Home Office at (916) 326.5303 during normal business hours in the Pacific time zone.
