SSUSA survey
This might seem trivial to most. However, I was filling out the survey you sent out until it came to incomne range. My income range is private and rather modest having been a teacher. You need to have a N/A choice on this question. Don't know if was just me or if others had an issue with this question.

I'm with you on that one Gary. I used to state my income at least half of what it is due to a concern of getting my info Sold and then getting bombarded with sales calls and more credit card apps in the mail. Now, I leave that part blank. It's no one's business what your income is , the same can be said for race or religion.

There should of been a "prefer not to answer option".
I also sent an email saying this.

I agree with you all, and I did not send mine because of the same reasons. No one needs to know that I am a millionaire several times over. LOL!

I must have missed the survey but I also never saw the survey to make pitching rule 1-1. I sure hated to miss that one because as a pitcher I hate 0-0 count. Must have went to junk mail. I too on a teachers salary for the 49th ranked state on education (AZ) with more cuts coming this year, Thanks GOV. have a modest income. Most of my travel went to softball in past. GI

I would like to know the results of the survey, and what it is meant to be used for. Sense most of the questions were about money.

Used for? HELLO.......ADVERTISING $$$$$$$

As for the teacher crying about income...now that's funny....

I am a guy that mows lawns/landscapes in an open boarder country and find it comincal a guy/teacher that gets three plus months off work/vacation/sick days/fed-state holidays/most likely health care and retirement income to start openly crying about pay.

You better get out of that faculty room and see what most of the rest of the country is getting for their labor before you open your neck about earnings.

And yes....I would eliminate the fed education department and openly allow all parents to put any gov education money's into charter schools if they want to.

Ok...I guess it's time to jump down off this soap box.

I too took exception to the survey questions especially when it was supposedly to "help them improve the game we love" pure bs and marketing info. Didn't see any questions that would actually relate to the GAME. Very disappointing.

I am waiting for a reply from SSUSA Staff on this .... When someone brings up something that would help the game we love such as the 1-1 count .... Ratings and Home Run rules they are quick to jump on here and defend there 6 year survey instead of adjusting to the players who are playing the game NOW...... So what do you have to say about this survey and what was the results

Dmac, I gues the fact you addressed my lack of skoolin instead of the points I raised, reflects your schooling agrees with minz on the faculty room ignorance...;-)

Tim: I thought your first point was excellent and did not need addressing. It was your cheap shot at a teacher that I was commenting on. It's all good though. We are both where we want to be.

As pointed out by titanhd, this is an optional survey. Y'all are not required to submit the survey. I did fill out the survey understanding that by doing so I am supporting an organization that IMHO does a great job in providing a venue to play the game that I enjoy. Is it to provide marketing information for potential and actual organizations who may or are providing financial support to SSUSA and Senior Ball in general? If it isn't it should be. Let's get real, it cost money to provide the Tournaments we all participate in. I believe that we benefit as a whole when we can (within reason) provide the information that is asked of us. This allows SSUSA and the Senior Softball Community the needed Marketing Data to garner the Financial Resources of supporting our playing in Major Tournaments.
Again it was an optional survey, don't fill it out and send it in if it bothers you, that in the end is your right.

These type surveys also lets some companies decide on whether they want to set up booths at tournaments or offer discounts to the senior softball community. If they see enough numbers then the companies decide if this demograhic is large enough to offer discounst to their products.
