May 13, 2015 Dancer 115 posts | Can a female be on a mens tournament team I already know there are women's teams out there, but I was wondering if a female can be on a men's team as long as they hit the age requirement? |

May 13, 2015 SSUSA Staff 3490 posts | The SSUSA Rules Committee clarified this point at its most recent sessions last fall in Tupelo, MS ... §4.2 ‐ ROSTER RESTRICTIONS C. Men are not permitted to play on women's teams. Women, if they are otherwise eligible as to age and residency, may play on men’s teams. |

One of my pals plays in the Florida Half Century Tournaments, and due to injuries at a tournament last month, they almost pulled a guys wife out of the stands to finish a tournament game------------I don't know how their association works, but my guess is she would have not been legally allowed to play if not on the roster?????? That team did not have to resort to doing this. |

"Otherwise eligible" means that they must have attained the minimum age for the team they wish to join and must meet the same residency requirements as the men on that team. |
