Does your team track player statistics?
I am talking with players and managers to research what software tools are most needed in softball.

If your team tracks statistics, do you have a good solution that makes this easy?

Would you want to use an app on your phone or computer? If so, what features would make a new stats tool indispensable?

If you already use software, what do you recommend?

Please send me your ideas or call me to talk about how your team handles statistics. If there is sufficient interest I will develop new tools and apps for teams and leagues.

Thanks for your help!

Clubteams.org - Dave Melosi - 50Caliber has developed this software and it works great.

For those teams that use Clubteams.org, Dave post statistics for teams across the nation. Kind of cool to see a teammate leading in a particular category though numbers are always subjective. Webbie still believes he is 19 for 15 with 32 HRS. ;-)

The Clubteams.org is the way to go. It has been developed by Dave Melosi and has a number of teams already using the program. Clubteams.org is free program to use to manage your team. It is the best program I have seen and used since the beginning of the Internet.

MTC 55 is using "Game Changer" for stats tracking and using "Team App" for our communications needs.

without me looking at web-site yet--------does this replace "the book" during a game or do you do the data entry after the tournament (as example) My team currently has 50+ year olds who don't even know how to keep score, nor do any of our fans.

But they can text with their eyes closed with one thumb, while batting opposite handed in a hurricane.

MIKE M how you doing?????????

Thanks for the input.

I have the same question as 17Black: Do some teams use scorekeeping or statistics apps during the games (on phones or tablets), or do you enter statistics on your computer after the game?

Also, would teams be more likely to use scoring software if your league (or tournament) owned an account and gave access to every team manager and player?

Thanks for the input JT. The program will be in the beta testing mode for just a bit yet and I think you will find we value that input and will adjust. We do have full help screens and videos going up shortly.

Hi Scott, and thanks for our phone conversation. I look forward to talking again soon.
Currently statistics are input after the game, but our live scoring app is coming
We do believe that if a league or tournament offered our program to teams, that the communication portion would help. We are working with several local park districts and tournaments and have started that process.

A quick overview of clubteams.org.
Our beta version is free, no strings attached. Keep your roster info, schedule leagues and tournaments and send team messages. If you belong to other teams, add them for free. Keep track of everything in 1 place. If your grandkids play a team sport, you can have that in your dash panel and view as many teams as you follow or participate, no matter the team, (including dance and hockey which are the 2 fasted growing team sports today) and keep those memories year after year.
Our group decided that we wanted to start and perfect our program with add-ons in the senior softball market. Almost all of our management team are playing senior softball.
We have had some very good input on the top stats in our site and are making some changes. John Beasley really knows what he is doing and is leveling the playing field on the stats leaders. We will have updates of criteria on our site this week.
I am sure everyone knows that we are in this to make money. But, I want to make sure that everyone knows that we are NOT going to charge for the stat keeping, communications or scheduling as you see it. We soon will have features that you will be able to add at a small fee. We think we have some really fun features being added soon that people will pay for.
Thanks again,
Dave
