Cracked Dudley
Just noticed a crack about 3 inches long right in the sweet spot on my 13" Dudley end load. How much time does it have left and will there be a drop in performance if I continue to use it?? Took somewhere around 800 swings as best as I can figure. Any input appreciated

I figure you got your money's worth out of it. Thats about 2-3 years worth of use. Most other bats out there expecially the U-2's, your lucky to get 200.
Buy another one & use this one for BP only.

If the bat still is performing, put some crazy glue on the crack.. will help it last a bit longer.. might only be a surface thing... and get a new one for batting practice before it becomes your gamer.. I alway have to have back ups in the bag..

THANKS FOR THE INPUT GUYS. GOT BAT AT TOC IN WINTER HAVEN THIS PAST WINTER FROM BOBBY DAVIS. AS TO BACK UPS, I HAVE THREE MORE BATS IN MY BAG, BUT NONE I LIKED AS WELL AS THIS ONE. GUESS ITS ON TO THE 12" DUDLEY WAITING IN THE WINGS. USED THE 13" THIS MORNING AND IT SOUNDED A BIT FUNKY, PLUS THE BALL WASNT JUMPING LIKE IT HAS BEEN. THANKS AGAIN!

Our team has broken 4 of the Dudley's so far. 3 balanced, 1 endloaded. All have about 300 or less hits on them. Even tried the crazy glue as suggest. Broke after one swing. Others have about 500 to 1000 hits on them with no sign of breaking.

Forgot to mention. I finally bought a Dudley after giving up on the Hyper Z because the handle turns back and forth.

Noticed a big rattle noise after about 100 hits. No performance issues. Been told that the umpire can throw the bat out of the tournament because of the rattle noise. Been tempted to remove the cap some how to rid the bat of the rattling noise. Afraid to do that, because it may get taken as a tampered bat.

playr25 - on a thread earlier in July I mentioned how I had a new Dudley I bought in Feb.
It developed a rattle in the handle that got progressively louder. The dealer had me contact Dudley.
They had me send a copy of my receipt, then ship them the bat. After several weeks they sent me a replacement bat that I am breaking in and will take with me this weekend to a tourney in Manassas.

Playr25 the end cap is connected to a inner core.Might be hard to remove.
You have a good connection if something happens:)#55
