Rit-it ASA 26oz
Any out there on sale for about the same as the Elite? Saw a big difference in their cost. 299 vs 229.
I have a Senior, would like the ASA as well. Primarily due to the post that were mostly very positive on it.

I think the $229 you saw is the YELLOW model that was suppose to be the senior model.Model RESR1 that is not approved

The BLACK model is RESR2 and is $299 and is approved for all assoc.

Actually the Rip-It Elite (Yellow) can be had for $150.00 or you can buy the Combo unit 1 Rip-it Elite and 1 Rip-it Senior ASA for $400.00.

They are both great bats. I planned to use the Yellow in BP and the Black for games.

Fred:
I already have a Yellow Senior with only one game on it so it's nowhere broke in. Had I not bought that one the deal you mention would be pretty good.
I'd think it could still be sold for less that the 3 bills wanted if they offer this package. Even at 250 shipped, I'd get one.
I think that's reasonable.
But isn't the Elete a fast pitch? If so, and I know it shows fast pitch on their fast pitch bat, that qould make it illegal I believe to use in slow pitch games, league or tournament...
My understanding of that ASA rule. Not sure about other ASSN'S however...

The Rip-It Elite looks like the Fast Pitch bat except it has no Assoc or 1.20 markings on it. They are both Yellow.

In fact one of the combos that I bought for a person is going to be using the Elite in his fastpitch league which has no bat restrictions.

I agree though at this point I don't think the Black Senior ASA is worth $300.00. This is my first composite bat and someone mention that they don't break in to fast in cold weather. I guess I will have to wait till spring to see.

If you purchased your Rip-It Elite Senior from www.fastpitchsales.com and you would like to purchase a Black Rip-It Senior ASA as well, you can purchase it for $250 if you call them and they have your original purchase on file.

Thank you

Taits;
In terms of fastpitch, SSUSA is the only group that will not let you use a fastpitch bat, they have no reason or have ever offered one.
The bats for slowpitch and fastptich are the same, except length and weight.
The Rip It fastpitch is a 34/28 which really makes it a slowptich bat that say's fastpitch. It beats me why SSUSA would even care, but they do and will not let you use it.
My guess is that it has to do with a plot by the CIA and a SSUSA private task force to keep girls bats from the hands of senior men. Or they just have a thing for yellow bats. Anyway, there is a yellow f/p, a black slowpitch and a yellow outlaw bat.
My grand DD swings the f/p
I use the black slowpitch and the outlaw bat for bp.
Have a Merry Christmas everyone....(no happy holiday junk here)

Where does it say that you can't use a FastPitch bat in SSUSA. I went through the rule book and couldn't find any reference to that which doesn't mean that I missed it.

SSUSA told us this summer that we could not use our Rip It ASA bats, 34/28 because they said 'fastpitch' on them. We can use them in any other softball league world wide but SSUSA. Of course the whole program made sense since we can use a U2 but not a girls bat.!!!
Just another attempt to keep Rip It off the market, another plot from the CIA and the Miken task force.
I now have the senior ASA bat so all is well

I agree. That makes a lot of sense.
