Dec. 28, 2006 JES 3 posts | Looking for 50+ (or 45) team in Greater Cincinnati area Currently play 2 nights a week, but looking to play with "diehard " guys in my age group (52). Still play competitive in C or D, Pitched for about last 13yrs and played left center before that. Not big on ego, but definitely into tourney competition. Left handed hitter, usually hit 2nd or 6th. Live in N. KY area. JES |

Travelodge from Indianapolis IN had three players from the Cincinnati area (two might move to 55) and then there is Declare Insurance out of Sardinia, Ohio. Those are major or major plus teams. If you are looking for AAA or AA there is the Dayton Legends from Dayton OH and the Indiana Classics out of Greensburg, IN. I might add that senior softball is more expensive than young man softballer. The tournaments cost almost twice as much and because of where you are from you have to travel to play. |
Jan. 1, 2007 JES 3 posts | Appreciate your input. I'm new to the seniorsoftball site and it's definitely a little bit of an eye-opener! The interaction and overall interest among seniors on the west coast, Arizona, and Florida is big ( as I expected it would be), but for Cincinnati and surrounding area it appears softball stops once you hit the 40's,unless you played major ball (i.e. DeClaire Ins). That's really sad since Cincinnati was once considered a "hotbed" for mens softball. I'll probably check into the Dayton Legend group, but if you hear of anything else, please let me know, the travel/ expense is probably worth it. Thanks again for your reply and if I don't talk to you again, have a great softball season and healthy 2007 !!!! |
