Tulsa Ice Fields
The fields are under 2\\\" of ice. You could hit a ball thru the infielders easy today seeing as steel cleets are not allowed.
However the base runner may have great difficulty rounding 1st base with 2nd base being worse.
Looking fwd to green grass.

You guys are really getting the brunt of this storm. So far wehave dodged the bullet in Plano, but they keep promising us ice. We were supposed to have an informal, local tournament next weekend, but it looks like we might get more bad weather.

Who are you playing for this year?

It will be at Trinity View if it happens. The weather forecast doesn't look too promising. I don't have a team myself, since I normally play with an Arkansas team. I'm hoping to pick up with someone.

TexasTransplant, Right now I am not playing with anyone. I am trying to get my work schedule set so I can play. Started a job in September 06.
Who will you be playing with? Hope you do not get any of this ice as it is tough.

I hadn't heard about a new date. Maybe it will warm up by 2/3. Right now, the weather we had for the national tournaments in Plano last year is looking real good. I'll take the heat any day over this stuff. If I wanted to live in this stuff, I'd move up north.

Frank,

It's just one of Renfro's informal winter play-arounds. It may have been a stretch to call a tournament. At any rate, it's been cancelled because of the continuing bad weather. That 100+ stuff we had last summer looks mighty good right now.

How's the knee?

Oreo,

Greg has e-mailed me about the tournament. I am working on Crazy Ed (GT's words) to bring his new 60+ team down. I hoping he does and that I can pick up with him. He didn't know about it, but just sent an e-mail to his guys last night to find out if there was interest in going. I will pass your info on to him. If we could go down and back the same day it might be more appealing. I hope it works out.
