MUTANT COMPOSITE
WELL, THERE'S A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN. IT'S CALLED THE "MUTANT 120" COMPOSITE BY WORTH. HAD BATTING PRACTICE LAST WEEK AND SET THE NEW "MUTANT" NEXT TO MY ULTRA II.
FIGURED I'D TAKE 25 CUTS WITH THE MUTANT AND THE REST WITH MY ULTRA. WELL, I NEVER PICKED UP THE ULTRA AGAIN. I GOT USED TO THE "MUTANT"
AS IT HAS A DIFFERENT FEEL THEN THE ULTRA AND HIT SOME BOMBS. LINE DRIVES WERE BLISTERING. IF YOU HAVEN'T HEARD OF IT YOU WILL. SORRY ULTRA II, BUT "ASTA LA VISTA BABY".
I'VE "MUTATED".
IT IS A FULL COMPOSITE AND THERE IS EVEN A 98 VERSION FOR THOSE LOCAL LEAGUES.

You might want to read more message boards about this bat, mine broke right at the connection piece. it hit well for about 30 swings the snapped. They said they would replace it once and not count it as a warrenty but what if it happens again.

I hit with the Mutant yesterday........no comparison to a nice broken in U II or the combat...However, if you are a good hitter with quick bat speed, you should be able to hit with anything that is put into yout hands...I have played in many of softball games and I have never seen the HR winn many games........but base hits YES.....My advice to many, is to save your big $$$ and work on the hitting technique.....then buy yourself a nice Bombat : ) .....Just kidding....

I have both the 120 and the 98. I have about 250 hits on each one. I think that they are a good bat and got some nice shots with both. I find for me the 98 is better as it is a little more end loaded than the 120. I have trouble with any light balance bat.

Right now it is a tough choice between the Mutants and my PST's but I think for now I will stay with my PST's as with their end load's it is more suited to my swing.

Sold my 28 oz MUT120 and got a 30 oz one. What a difference that extra 2 oz made for me. Now it swings close to my 98Z and it totally outhit my 28 oz PSTOC. I didn't think I would find a bat that would do that. I guess it time to retire the PSTOC to the bat bag and BP.

I will still take my 98Z over the MUT98 though. So it looks like my game bats this year will be the 98Z for ASA and MUT120 for all others.
