First base double bag
A ball is hit to the outfield, they aare playing extremely shallow. They throw to first base the first baseman toughes the white bag and the orange bag at the same time. What's the call safe or out?

Gary the call would be out by the umpire if in fact the ball beat the runner there. The fact that the first baseman was touching part of the orange bag was mute since you said he was touching part of the white bag also. He just cannot touch only the orange bag. There are a couple of associations that on an bad through allows the first baseman to use either bag to avoid a collision. But most only allow the white bag for a put out.

Gary33- RonD is right. The specific rule in the ssusa rule book is 13.3(1) in the endnote:

"Important: The defending player has only the white baseinside fair territory to make the putout; his touch of only the bag in foul territory will not result in an out."

It makes sense to me, since the orange bag in foul territory is a player safety item and is not in the fair territory of the playing field. It's a lot like the scoring home plate.
