Bats and different cor/comp balls?
http://www.softballhitting.com/mission.htm
This link was posted on another msg board. It explains COR and Compression and how they relate to different bats. It\'s saying that for 375 compression balls you should use a Rocket Tech CK. If you hit 525 compression balls you should use a Techzilla.
What are your opinions? I get the feeling that they are pushing Anderson bats.

BRUCE... G. P.: Do u remember the 375 by DeM'. That bat was made 4 low comp balls. (What a joke & mis-market'.)

300 comp, 375 comp, 400 comp, 500 comp, & 525 comp balls, r just another way 4 ball manuf's to sell. In B.P., we r now hit' orange 50 cor balls w/ a 150 comp. This ball will not break ones bat. If, one hits one of these orange ball correctly, that orange ball w/ travel over 340 ft.

I have hit the ANDERSON Bat. This is a good bat. Combat, Miken, Worth, TPS, Mizuno, & Easton, all make good bats. But, Combat, Miken, Easton, & Worth, also made a few great bats.

The differ' lines of COMPOSITE Bats that one has to chose, is great. The COMPOSITE, bats out preform all of the old makes & models. If, u search 4 infor on Composite Bats, one will find many great articles on why Composite bats r the best Bat being made to date...

Bruce..... do u c many Seniors, hit, ANDERSON BATS?

GOOD LUCK......The STONEMAN......

No, I don't see many seniors hitting Anderson, for that matter, I don't see many young guys hitting Anderson.
Our 55 team, Hollis Appraisials, hit the orange balls before games. They'll go if you hit them just right, kinda like tennis balls.

This same site is now testing and saying the 08 Demarini 375 hits as well as a juiced Easton Extended!! I do respect Craig the site founder and I value his bat reviews, because he hits all bats off of a Tee using same conditions!
Who would not push product? But, I have done dealings with Craig and he is pretty straight up with his reviews!! I still like composites over any metal!!! Aloha, Fabe

If a "hard" bat is better to use with a 375 comp ball, why is everyone trying to break in or soften up their bats by rolling or extended bp? If his reasoning holds true, should I just use a new Mayhem 98 or some other "stiff" bat and try not to break it in? I'm confused.

BRUCE: I hope that I state the follow' post correctly. 1) a bats compression is important. 2) a .09" thick wall will last longer than a bat w/ a thicknes of .06". (The compression will be the same, but, after uses, the thinner wall bat will break sooner.) 3) bats that r shaved, have been shaved in order to get a bats "inner wall" to break in quicker. 4) a shaved bat & or a bat w/ a titanium sleeve will allow a bat to get hot & last longer.

Rolling, Hammer', Vising, etc, r done in order to 'break in' a bats inner wall. This is done so, a player does not have to hit 100 to 300 balls in B.P.

A bat w/ flex built in the handle is to help 'smaller' or players that do not have a high bat speed. If, a player is able to swing a bat @ a high bat speed, has good size, (weight & height); a player should swing a bat that is 'stiff".

Last Point: Miken & Worth bats, have a compression of maybe 220 PSI. Easton bats, have a compression of 380 PSI, or more. A harder bat, will 'preform" batter. A harder bat, will hit less Knockle Balls or hooks or slices.

GOOD LUCK W/ u're research........ The STONEMAN....

I just talked to Craig and his reply was that guys are "softening up" bats to make the bat softer than the ball. He maintains that with a 375 comp ball, the harder the bat the better.
Now where is that 35 oz Bombat?????????
