Bats for NSA
I no that you cannot use the ultra2 in NSA. Are the original freaks still band? If so can anyone tell me if the stealth is a good bat?

I believe that the Freak still hasn't been approved by NSA. I don't know anything about the Stealth. In my opinion, the Freak Plus , Mainiac 585, Mayhem "booger" or the Mayhem M7 120 and the M75 120 are the bats of choice.
If you and your team plays as good as you did in KC you should win the NSA. Good luck.

Bruce, If they go by the ASA approved bat list then some of the bats you named will be band, also. Is that the list they go by?

Elmo, NSA a uses most 1.20bpf. The reason the Freak isn't approved is because Miken didn't submit it for testing.
The only associations that I know of that use the ASA list is ASA, WSL, ISSSA and ISF.

Taits, as does the Synergy 2, ASA Wicked Composite and others. Our senior league is trying to change our rules so we can use these bats after 1/1/08.

Most leagues have the ability to modify the rules which does include bats and balls which would not void an ASA policy.
ASA is trying to get their greedy little hands into the SENIOR softball arena. The last stand, as it were, they can only control via the bat testing BS.
I could go on about all this, but won't.
In my opinion, for them it's about the money also, but on a larger scale.
It started with the bats then on to the balls and along the way rules got changed all over the place.
Unfortunately that'll rattle a cage or 2, but it's the truth.
ASA gcould be really great, I know that as well, but control over most every aspect is a must. And as for awards, I honestly do not think there is anything better given out by any assn.
