Senior and ASA bat
I had a U2, which crack in my last Senior tournament and a white steel that I used in ASA city league games which the end cap came off last night. Therfore, I want to buy one bat that I can effectivity used in both Senior games and ASA league games. Any recommendation is greatly appreciated.

Our group has hit every bat on the market. The ASA bats from Combat, Miken, Worth are all very, very good but none can match the Reaper. It is plain and simple. The proof is this...buy a Reaper and if it is not the best ASA bat you have ever hit than Rip It will refund your money.

AzSenior - Thank you very much for your comment. I will definitely look into obtaining a Reaper.

AZSENIOR: Have you hit with the RIP-IT Elite ASA legal composite bat? If so, do you think the bat is in the same class as the RIP-IT Reaper ASA bat?

I am having very good luck with my Mut 98. I had to get used to it because it was a balanced bat but once I did I really got to love it.

Since I am not a good hitter or do I know much about bats I can only report on what we as a group think and feel. Our summer in Colorado Springs have almost every new ASA bat available. In terms of Rip It elite, the only model we have is the outlaw yellow bat. Many have the senior ASA bat and we have two of the ASA Reapers. Most of the lower level hitters like me like the senior ASA bat for the feel but everyone love’s the Reaper. They have been hitting the Reaper and then the org Freak and the Reaper is better of the two.

Overall the vote is the Reaper is hands down the best ASA we have ever hit. There are other bats many like as well like the new Worth Mutant and the Easton Stealth. Some bats are easier to swing than the Reaper but do not have the pop. I hope that helps and I am sorry I cannot give you more details about the hitting part. Maybe one of the hitting guru’s on this board can make a comment about the Reaper as well.

God Bless

Thanks for help in finding an ASA Reaper.
Also, I read your last post with great interest... a humble man is hard to find.

Can somebody go through the offerings from RIP-it and detail what is what. I know about the yellow outlaw bat and I have swung the ASA black bat. If I read this correctly there is an ASA version of the reaper which must mean there is the UTRIP version. What do they offer for UTRIP?
Thanks. If you have used the UTRIP version any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yeah, combat makes the rip-it reaper, I'm sure they made it so much better than their own bat. That would be really smart.

That is not a true statement. CE makes the Rip It bat. This is a old discussion and to bring it up again is a clear sign that you are a troll for Combat. If you wish to talk facts then get them right before you post.

Koived I'm not that concerned who ultimately manufactures or distributes, I'm a user I just want some feedback from the senior community on how the UTRIP version performs if there is one. I like the yellow outlaw and the ASA black rip it is nice. From my perspective I like Combat but the Combat senior and yellow rip it are not the same, neither is the AV and black ASA rip it. Could be a GM car thing Chevy and Saturn are made by GM but.....

lecak,
I agree with you on your gm etc analogy. Again why would combat make the rip-it better than the combat?
Batwise or should I say hr bill. CE is combat say whatever you want to but they are the same. Do you want to know how I know, I have been there.........

Who cares. The bat is good and what does it matter who's name is on it.

AZSENIOR: One of the web site you mention (rallytimesports.com) there are four Rip-It bats listed: 1. Elite Nonsanctioned senior 2. Elite Reaper 120 100MPH 3. Reaper ASA comp 4. Elite ASA legal comp. The Elite ASA legal comp must be a brand new bat that just came out.

I live in Big Sky and just got mind from Rally time.
I says Reaper ASA, is black with a shull on the barrel. Just what I need (age 78) is the grim reaper looking at me everytime I bat.

If the skull staring back at you invokes some negative thoughts, go out and buy some green bananas... you need a positive thought to offset the other one.
You're probably not an Oakland Raider fan, are you?
But aside from its graphics, how do you like the bat?

Grew up in Marin – San Jose State and then to Stanford. So the 9’ers are my love. Wish I could tell you more about the bat but I am like most on this board and just a regular joe when it comes to hitting. I can say that most if not all the guys at the field think the bat is better than most if not all. For me it gives me more distance and feels very smooth. Some of our guys can now hit a few over but I think it might have more to do with the excitement of a new toy than anything else.

PS: The guy that gave the hitting lessons here in July - you left your fielding glove in the dugout. I put in at the front desk at Mountain Inn.
Thanks again for the clinic. We had a fun time and by the way, the lake is just at 400ft so that was impressive.

Thank you for the glove. I did get it when the next day. It was a pleasure meeting your group and hope to see all of you again.

Thanks again.
