Aug. 21, 2007 THECAT 65 posts | Congrads is order. The bracketing was very good and the officiating was OK. The main issue has to be the fields. Mahany deplorable, infield batter boxes and the football used outfields. Maidu out field just a tad better than Mahany. The CAL CUP should not be represnted this way next year. Last year the fields were playable at both parks. Injuries were kept to a minimum, only with some luck. To send that much money in on entry fee and get so little. The infields were never dragged. Just some hand racking and water. Please let Sac. know your thoughts. |

Aug. 23, 2007 DMac Men's 60 207 posts | I had a great time at the Cal Cup, especially getting to talk with players from other teams during and between games. Some of the nicest, smartest, funniest people I have ever met are playing Senior softball and I love getting an opportunity to visit with them. The fields were far from perfect but I didn't see any field-related injuries. Besides, its not like the stands are filled with spectators that paid to get in. Most complexes are doing the best they can with the funds that are available. |
