What's a good SPA bat?
Next season will be my first in the SPA. I will be buying a new bat and would like some suggestions. I understand the U2 is really popular, I haven't heard much about the U2 Advanced. I would welcome any information/advice on legal SPA bats that anyone has to offer. Does anyone know if the "funky knob" on the U2 Advanced will be legal in the SPA?

I bought a U2 advanced with the funky knob (because they stopped making the regular handle bat). It never felt right from the beginning and I will end up selling it and use whatever I get to buy a new regular knob U2. The Worth Launch and Combat Anaconda (end-loaded) are the other two senior bats that I have swung. Both have more pop than any non-senior authorized bat. If you can, I would suggest trying to swing a bat you are interested in before you buy it. If it feels right in your hands, it will probably be the best bat for you.

I use the combat orignal, its a very hot bat. I love this bat. I'm a base and lin drive hitter, the ball jumps hard off the sweetspot. I agree your needing to swing the bat before buying it. Ultra II never felt right in my hand. I have a Miken Manic 484 and it has pop, but not like the combat. I also tried the Launch 510 by worth ( Miken), this is a hot bat. However, this week it was noted on the treads as breaking after a 100 plus swings. I would also find out what bats are legal for your association.
