Hey donnie,
Have the same need. I have spoken with and e-mailed Fran many times. She promised to have it on the SS-USA home page over a week ago. Still haven't seen it yet!
Last year we booked a motel further north because we had been playing in Cape Coral. Wouldn't you know it...they moved our field to Naples, resulting in a 45 minute drive.

Good luck!

You guys should download Google Earth. It's great for problems like this. Just click on "hotels", and they appear so you can see which ones are close to the park.

Does anyone know where the 60 major plus teams will be playing? Need some help from the staff or someone so we can make reservations. We are planning on coming to this event.

I have the phone number but it still helps to know where the fields are. I can get hotels but i don't need to show up and find out we are playing in a suburb of Ft.Myers 40-50 minutes away.
thanks,
donnie

Donnie,
Last year the Major+ 60 and I do believe 55's were at the new Naples Facility. If they are playing there you could stay right on the Interstate75 near the airport. Good luck in trying to find the fields listings.

Donnie-Last year was our first time to the WinterNationals as Boaz. We were under the impression the tournament would be in Fort Myers yet had the same experience as some other who have replied.- we played in Naples at a brand new field. It was 45 minutes away on 75 and we almost missed our return flight because we had to go back to our hotels before leaving for the airport.

What some wizened veterans have done to prevent this from happening is make reservations in BOTH

Our Ohio Silverados have played in every Ft Myers National (5) and with some luck won in 2005 as a 50AA. We stay at the Outrigger on Ft Myers Beach. Traffic is a little slow but you are pretty much in the middle of all the fields and it is a really nice area with a lot to do. Good luck to all TerryMcClaskey The Ohio Silverados

We recommend that you ALWAYS make the LATEST possible flight arrangements on the last day of any tournament. Book your flights as though you will be playing in an 8:00 AM game the first day and the "If Needed" game on the last day. "If needed" games are typically scheduled as late as 3:30 PM, but schedules sometimes run behind on the last day due to longer playing times and the Championship Game(s) being a full 7 innings (with no time limit). Hope this helps.
