By the way. When you type in capital letters you are shouting.

RIGHT or WRONG, why, do u feel that writting in capital letters is shouting? The authors of books, poems, songs, etc. r not required to write in what some believe to be acceptable & proper grammer.

STONEMAN: Sticks is right. Here is the first thing that came up on the screen.

SHOUTING
Chatters and people who post on Usenet will often tell others to stop shouting. It's another way of saying, "TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK." When someone is TYPING AN ENTIRE SENTENCE IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, that person is SHOUTING. It is not proper netiquette to TYPE IN ALL CAPS, especially in e-mail.

In fact, it's annoying. If you're in a hurry (or want to do what many people online already do), then type in all lowercase-unless you want to imply that YOU ARE SHOUTING!

See Also: case sensitive , chat acronym or chat acronyms.

Better not question Sticks.

THANKS 4 YER REPLY. BUT, I LIKE TO WRITE IN CAP' LETTERS. E-Zer TO READ.
AS FAR AS PROPER ETIQUETTE on THE INTERNET, GO 4 IT. DO YER THING. QUESTION? IS THIS ANOTHER AREA WERE A PERSON or A GROUP of PEOPLE W/ HAVE A CERTAIN BELIEF(s) & WANT THE REST of THE WORLD TO FALL IN LINE or COMPLY. TO? "THESE R MY BELIEFS; THIS IS THE WAY TO LIVE; THE WAY TO THINK; SO EVERYONE MUST COMPLY?"
THANK U FOR LETTING ME KNOW THAT THE INTERNET HAS A PROPER WRITTING FORMAT. (REALLY) BUT, AS AN ADULT, I CHOOSE TO WRITE IN WHAT OTHERS MAY SAY IS IMPROPER ETIQUETTE. I know think that I understand why, so, many people r always trying to correct others.
BETTER NOT QUESTION.......,

STONMAN: I fail to see where a simple reply of by the way is at all imposing. I read it and thought it was meant as a reminder or help. By the way you started to make a point but you fell off at the end somehow. Maybe a senior moment. Try not to let your mind wander...It is too small and fragile to be out by itself.

RULES; ETIQUETTE; & JERKS
To Sticks- is it etiquette to tell or remind other that CAPITAL letter use may not be proper? Is this practice of capital letters relevent?
To KillAbrew- who in the h.... do u think u r to tell me not to ask a question? My question was to Sticks & not u. Sticks- for me, I try & not let bad grammer, spelling, etc. bother me.
To Knuckles- a reminder or help, why do u people think that u need to help or correct others? No senior moment, I was tring not to be rude. Read Kills, last words.... BETTER NOT QUESTION STICKS. Again, who in the h..... is this man to tell any other person not to ask a question. If, STICKS, had written this statemant, I would tell STICKS, that I did not mean to ...
This message board is not for rude remarks either. But, thanks for telling the world that I have a small mind. Their r some people that believe that I did not have a brain @ all.
Knuckles- yer statement is nothing short of rudeness. Please, keep hiding behind yer false name. I believe that etiquette states, when one attacks another, the attacker uses ones real name? Knuckles, what is yer name? E-mail me @ stoneman_animal@yahoo.com

I love this message board. It is absolutely incredible to me that what started as a player's attempt to hook up with a 55 team could deteriate to the level of name-calling and animosity that this did. Despite are differences, we are bonded by our love of this game and I, for one, am thankful every time I take the field. I couldn't play without you guys and I don't care how you talk or write.

Your right. All I was trying to do was hook up with a good 55 team. Could you guys start a new name calling area on a new message area.
I've heard enough and learn my lesson as you can tell.

Thank you,

Greg Leurgans
