2004 bats, wait or buy??
GUYS, the bat mfgrs are enticing us with the 2004 models, MIKEN FREAK, SYNERGY+,SYNERGY2, RAWLINGS ACL. shall we wait before buying??? some of the above bats are already listed as been approvd for 2004. BUT! will they ban them in the middle of the season?? they have done this to us in the last 2 years, and we have got stuck with bats we cant use. NEED YOUR INPUT, WAIT OR BUY?

I for one have lost all faith in the bat manufacturers after this last year. I have two $300 bats sitting on the shelf and I cannot use them in the leagues and most tournaments that my team plays in. I think we have all been duped by both manufacturers and softball organizations to the point it's time to dictate to them where our dollars go. I recently received a notice form Worth about 3 categories of bats that they produce but depending on which organization rules you play, you still will need a lawyer to figure it out which bat to use. I WILL HAVE TO BE STRONGLY CONVINCED BY THE MANUFACTURERS AND ORGANIZATIONS BEFORE I CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR POCKET BOOKS AGAIN!

I would buy. The ASA has banned only 4 bats if you play ASA. SSUSA allows those 4 and USSA, NSA and others have all listed there bats for 2004. I don't see these organizations repeating the mess of the last 2 years and changing in mid-season.

Just surfing and came up with this from Kelly's Ultimate Sports

03 DeMarini Classic
03 DeMarini Demolition
03 DeMarini Doublewall
03 DeMarini Xplosion Doublewall long barrel

All for $99 each.

Other bats were also on sale.

Our team has started to buy team bats for use in tournaments,. For example, we bought a miken II fo r $229 that we will all use. It comes out to about $15 per man for the season.
