Southpaw can't wait to play in Birmingham. Looking forward to seeing some of the good old boys. Looks like it's going to be some great temp.,good ball field and shark balls. Can't get no better than this. We should pass a good time win or lose.

Hey Baer and Monty, Would love to have both of you play in Bham on the 27th. I will give you a call over the week-end and give details. We are all just chipping in a few $ to cover the cost of the tourney, if that is o.k. Thanks, Steve

Monty glad to see your playing with us next weekend. It will be nice to have a true power hitter on the time. We should have a pretty good team.

Hey Joe, Monty, and Baer, waiting on confirmation of 10 A.M. for first game time on the 27th. Should be able to call you Sunday afternoon. Right now, just overdosing on College football--half-time in Auburn/LSU game. Thanks for your interest. Steve

Hey Joe, Monty, and Baer, Our first game time is 10 A.M. on Saturday. It is USSSA; 47 cor. softballs, no Ultras. If it is O.K., asking everyone to chip in 15 $ for umpires and entry fee. Round robin--guaranteed 4 games, probably 1 dble-header. Bruce, wanta come and play? Thanks, Steve

With a Shark 47 cor. ball in the 70 degree range we could use asa bats an still have a good ball day. I'd bring my wooden bat but I spit it on the first swing at the first of the year. If Bruce would play he'd have to use a tooth pick to keep it in the park.

Thanks for the offer but my son is getting married this weekend. From your posts I gather that you don't know who Baer is. Put it this way, If there are any cars or houses within 550' they are in danger!

Hey Guys, Saturday is going to be a great day--sunny skies, 70 for a high, and getting to play softball! Also, seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Have only met Baer on here this week, Bruce. Looking forward to meeting in person and seeing him hit.
There is going to be one other senior team in our round robin, then 3 young teams.
Still waiting for Rocket57 to reply, if interested. Thanks, Steve

BMC13 and Monty we can't use the Ultra 2 but last time we could use any other bat including the senior combat. I believe it's a park rule about the Ultra bats. But with the temp. of 70 and a good shark ball any bat will do well for Sat. in Birmingham.

Hey Guys, update on Saturday: 6 teams in our round-robin. 2 three-team pools. 3rd game begins single elimination. Homeruns are 3-6, low bid. I think I will just go ahead and bid 6 every time!
Raining now, but weather will break Thursday night. Still predicting 70 for Saturday. See ya. Steve
