team wongs
Salio2k, you are right. He is Not an super major impact player. He is a great player who played on a super major team..It took a team effort to win in Vegas..We were hot that day, thats all. Nothing more. And like I said earlier,He had been playing with us ALL year.No one said a damn thing about him when we were getting our asses kicked. What a shame that there are still cry babies out there at this age.PITIFUL.We were planing on moving up Major and give it a try any way after Phoenix..But oh well, that\'s the way the ball bounces as they say.

What player are you talking about? You are right abut the crybabies, and this organization spends way to much time and energy keeping players and teams OFF the field and watering down competition when the focus should be the opposite. Our team learned this year that if the right person drops a dime and cries you can get re-classified in a heartbeat. They don't care if they make that move two months before their own published deadline. This business of classifying players is meaningless and totally subjective. What exactly is a major plus player? What objective criteria is used to make that call? One player, getting 4-5 at bats a game ain't gonna make that much difference.

If you had someone on your 50 AAA roster that had played Major Plus this year, that means they got cut and weren't good enough. We went through that with a player that was a third string catcher for a Major Plus team and got cut. You'd think we were trying to bring on a clone of a 30 year-old Bruce Meade. They also wouldn't let us use 55 year olds because they were in 55 Major Plus. In ASA in the 40's and 45's we (Sun Devils) played everybody, including hall-of-famers. We went 2 and a Q the first year, but eventually won back-to-back in the 40's and 2nd in the 45's because we went out and got better. If you couldn't handle it, you stayed home in your local league or retired. Now it seems the goal is to let everybody win a ring, even if it is a two-team tournament.

We need less emphasis on subjective skill level ratings, combined divisions with balanced run-limit and home run rules that enable more than one type of team succeed and most importantly, LESS CRYING! Quit lawyerin' and play ball!!
