| Nov. 30, 2007 SSUSA Staff 787 posts | TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS 2008 - Roster Guidelines The "Roster Considerations" guidelines for the 2008 Tournament of Champions have been posted and are available from the link in the TOC area of the Home Page. This document explains the rules for what roster additions are allowed for the TOC and the process by which those additions are either made or requested. Please note that the deadline for roster additions is Thursday, January 31, 2008. |
| Nov. 30, 2007 Pieman Men's 50 76 posts | It seems to me the T.O.C. should be held the same year teams qualify. Maybe it should be played before Winter Nationals so teams go in with the players they qualified with. How does a team win a National Tournament, get moved up in a Division, except for Major Plus and then play down again with players that never played in the qualifying tournament? Also, I see all these teams that won tournaments. I assume they are all moving up to the next level for 2008. Mike Santo Manager of the new Sweet Construction 55 team. |
| Nov. 30, 2007 taits Men's 65 4000 posts | I'd be surprised if all the teams that play in SSUSA's tournaments were polled or asked, via their, managers, that they would like to keep it as it is. Though I have never been to one, I wouldn't want to go two or more months later from my last tournament anywhere or played played. Too much of a chance pulling something. Coupled with teams reorganising for the new year players may of moved on. Before the Win. Natl's or about two weeks after, is good. |

| Nov. 30, 2007 Gary Heifner 248 posts | I agree that the TOC should be in the same year. My team qualified last year and being a Chicago based team, we hadn't played a game in over 2 1/2 months prior to the event. We were rusty and it was no suprise that a Florida based team won our division. |

| Dec. 3, 2007 Pieman Men's 50 76 posts | Ed, yes Sweet Construction is going to have both a 50 and 55 team. Some players will be on both rosters. Mike Santo |
