In memory of Karen "Sparky" Sparks
Karen Sue “Sparky” Sparks 58, passed peacefully Christmas morning in her home in Grants Pass, Oregon. A celebration of her life will be held in October during the Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George, Utah.

Sparky was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, lived in California and then moved to Southern Oregon in 2001.
Her passion throughout life was playing softball. She had an arm that could throw a ball with such precision and speed, few could match.

In 2002 she joined the Grants Pass women’s senior softball team, the “Oregon Sleeperzzz“, which became a very important part of her life.

She was gifted with “out-of-the-box” creativity and had an artistic talent few knew about. Her off-beat sense of humor kept us all laughing.

She is survived by her partner, “C C” of many years and their four dogs, a son and two sisters in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the “Sleeperzzz” who were her ROCK both on and off the field.

She played hard, ran fast, and slid into home plate “Sparky-style”.
She’s home now. She touched many lives. We greatly miss her.
