Looking for Input on the 2008 TOC
I added this post just to see how all the
team's headed to the TOC are doing.

Just interested in such items like:
Air Fare Costs
Rental Car Costs
Hotels that Teams are using.
Communication from SSUSA/SSWC
Any problems along the way.

That's it, it is snowing in Penna today, so the
TOC can't get here soon enough for me!

dont know if you talked to benn, but here are a few pieces of info:
1. check swa BWIto TAMPA-2/13 - return 2/18- 1st 3 flights
$69.00 and all day 2/18.

2. hotwire.com-car rental-bid $16.00 to start.

3. try motel 6 in lakeland route 98 - #1-863-682-0643
$60.00 per nite.

maybe that will help. c u at TOC - KBL - h-burg

TO WOW

I saw you made comments on two different posts, this
being one of them. Why is the TOC a waste of money?
You also said that the TOC is having a hard time in the other post, in what way?

I'm just curious, i appreciate your opinion.

I can tell you this though, after what I have gone thru thus far concerning the TOC, I will not go back next year, not at this point anyway. I will reserve comment as to why, but let's just say if I knew what I know now, say 3 weeks ago, I probably would have saved the $$.

Still I am looking forward to going to florida, if for no other reason to just get away and play softball with some great guys.

The TOC was one of the most enjoyable tournaments I played all year. How can you say it's not worth the money? Great competition, great facilities, a FREE banquet, and SSUSA pays half the entry fee.
And it's in Florida for crying out loud!

WOW, you are clueless.

I agree with DBAX. Our team went last year and had a great time. We are from the midwest, therefore, we were not able to practice outdoors before the tournament but found indoor facilities to hit and field a little before we went.

We are going back this year and we are looking forward to it very much. This weekend some of us will start hitting indoors to get ready. Its not the same as hitting outdoors but we can get loose and start to get ready. A bad day of softball is better than a good day of almost anything else.
