DES MOINES WORLD SERIES RESULTS
Here are the results from the first section of the World Series in Des Moines. In the 65 division there were 29 teams. The Major Division was won by Joe Corbi Pizza from Maryland, followed by Emerald City, The Seals and The Sidewinders. AAA Division was won by The Jersey Jaguars followed by Millers, Suncoast and the Houston Texans. AA went to Papa Nicks over Smith Barney.
In the 70's, Fairway won the Major Division followed by Mitchells, Gold Rush and Georgia Peaches. AAA Divsion went to Lynch & Sons over Elk Grove, The Renegades and Sedgebrook. AA had Center for Sight winning over Louisville.
75's winner was Texas Classics over Moe's and Arizona U-Care.
In the 80's Tremont won over Desert Storm.
There were 29 teams in the 65's, 20 teams in the 70's, 6 teams in the 75's and 4 in the 80's. The weather was good. The fields were good. There were two umpires and a score keeper for every game. No per inning run limit and no time limit after the round robin. Just the way all tournaments should be run.
