TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS 2008 - Schedules
Tournament of Champions 2008 DRAFT Schedules & Brackets have been posted and are now available from the links on the Home Page ... A few comments follow:

1. These are DRAFT Schedules & Brackets and, accordingly, are subject to revision. They become 'final' only when released officially at the Manager's Meeting on Thursday evening, February 14th.

2. The TOC honors the winners of the 2007 calendar year SSUSA qualifying tournaments. As such, the 2007 SSUSA Playing Rules will be employed for the 2008 TOC. The only exception will be the use of the "Pitcher's Safety" rule in games involving 50+, 55+ and 60+ teams from the Major+ Divisions.

3. All 84 teams will play two games on Friday and be finished early enough to allow for a comfortable trip to the hosted "Champions Banquet" at the Fantasy of Flight Museum.

4. On Sunday at the Diamondplex Complex in Winter Haven, the Polk County Sports Authority has arranged for four TOC Championship games to be broadcast on the internet. Those broadcasts require 2-hour time blocks for each game, which varies from the normal hour and a half SSUSA scheduling. Should any of those championship games end with a result that requires an "If game", those games will occur on a different field. We thank those teams in advance for the minor inconvenience that comes with moving fields between a Championship and If game.

Congratulations to all of the invited and participating teams, and Good Luck to all! ... DAVE

REVISION - 60/65 PLATINUM

Due to the withdrawal of a team in the Men's 60-Major Division (Paradise Chevrolet - CA) on Tuesday, the TOC schedule for the 60/65-Platinum Division has been revised ...

NO team plays earlier than originally scheduled on Friday.

ONE team (Human Kinetics II) plays their first game later than originally scheduled on Friday (10:00 AM).

ONE team (SoCal Gusto -CA) plays an "exhibition only" game on Saturday morning in addition to their regular Round Robin Seeding Game.

The 60-Major Division bracket was changed from a 4-team Three Game Guarantee Bracket to a standard 3-Team Double Elimination Bracket and starts on Saturday afternoon at the same time as originally scheduled (2:30 PM).

The schedule links on the Home Page have been updated for these changes, as well as te Master Games and Fields Grid.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenince this late team withdrawal may have caused ...

Good Luck to all!
