3-day tourny's/ Women
Our team has to many players that are still working to make 3 days tournaments something we can participate in. Is anyone does having the same problem? We are a women's 50's team.

I think that the reality of it all comes down to cash spent, by the players participating in any tournament, where ever that city may be located. It's a bargaining chip for field use, for contractual purposes. More time there, more brought in. a buck turns over 7 times for each one spent. You spend a hundred there that weekend, it's like 700 to the city in most instances. Do the math.
But If you dig into what I'll call history of tournaments most all could have been done in a two day event. Those that
What I do not like is the fact that there are a lot of players that have to take time off from work to make them, they are paying even more I'd say.
Majority of teams only get 5 games in, unless for "if" gamers are included, but still could be done in two days.
So they spread it out and we have to live with it or don't go.
The part that sucks are in cities like Reno & Vegas, for example, where you have to pay even more (even double the rate) for a room on Fri and Sat nights.
Your not alone.

We too play 50's and we voted last year AGAIN to not have 3 day tournaments. We too have all of our players that are not retired. We have made calls to Fran and Terry with NO response. WE DO NOT WANT AND HAVE NEVER WANTED 3 DAY TOURNAMENTS. A few months ago there was an email asking again if we wanted 3 day tournaments everyone responded no.

it seems the 3day tournaments are to compensate for the men. The women will get bumped off a field for the men to play. i understand there are more mens teams therefore more money via the men. But as it has been mentioned all the ladies on our team still work and that 3dayer can be a monster having to take off and most time we have to take off Monday too, if for no other reason but the regroup and heal and get our bodies back in order.....but for the most part the 3 dayers are costly-monitary and physically
