Great tournament, excellant umps.
I purchased to tournament shirts and left them in the bag in the parking lot. No problem, totally my fault.
Is there a place where I can buy another? link or e-mail address? Thanks

cpope - The merchandising for the TOC was handled by an independent company. We're not sure what inventory they might have left or be able to re-create, but the company is called Team IP and their website seems to have online ordering options. Try there first at: www.teamipsports.com

Good luck!

tg69 - Shamefully yes, it looks like there were not enough of the invited teams there. If someone makes a commitment to a team they should be prepared to represent that team fully understanding what it means to compete against the best. If that means going to the TOC (which is our premier event) they should be prepared for that.
Unfortunately, many teams (including mine) didn't "man up" and go to the TOC once qualified. In essence they defaulted their shot at the national championship to the teams that did. Does it mean the teams that were there didn't deserve it? Nope, you bet they deserve it - they did what it takes to be a champion by honoring their commitment to their teammates and their sport. They deserve to be the national champions. This isn't always about showing up at the field. It's about finishing what you started. That's what defines a competitor and a teammate.

4X4 - maybe the TOC should be held 3 or 4 weeks after the World Championships. By February a lot of the guys are moving to new teams (or age groups) having surgeries they put off so they could finish the season, or haven't been able to stay in playing shape because they haven't been able to play games for 3 months due to weather. A good idea would be to play the winter worlds/nationals actually in winter and move TOC to that time slot. Would also stop teams from qualifying with thier "next years" team at the winter events.

This question is more for Terry Hennesey, Why is a tournament that can use a roster for "NEXT" year included in the TOC when some of the player's haven't been eligible to play for the entire season and won't even 50 til the folling season?

My team was one of the teams the had "Next" Year's team at the TOC. We had three 49's playing with us. However
those guys were on the roster when we won in Ft Myers, and obviously we did not make the rules.
That situation was brought up and I believe they are
going to change the rules however.
Hope this info helps you.

Very well put, 4X4....it is indeed a huge commitment but more importantly, it is a chance to compete against the best of your peers and you may never be given that opportunity again.

Our team qualified at the Spring Worlds in Palm Springs last year and unanimously decided to forego the Reno tournament so that everyone could afford the trip to Florida. It turned out to be a good team decision and we all felt very fortunate to the man to have been able to experience theTOC for the first time.
