| March 16, 2008 einstein Men's 50 3142 posts | Palm Springs I heard that the Mavericks and Mac 2 played to a tie in 50 major plus and that MTC 60's came back to double dip GSF. Sounds like a terrific tourney and congrats to John Dorsett, Steve Callan, Lefty, Peetie and all the boys from MTC and to Big and little George, Duff, Johnny, Brad and the rest. The Mavericks are loaded with great players not least of which are some of my old teammates from Kellys. Mango, Mickey and the Bull but Mac 2 play very tough and can rise to compete with any team. Congratulations all you California Monsters. |
| March 16, 2008 SALSAKID49 Men's 55 75 posts | E, Game #2 between MAVERICKS / MACII was a good one... The reat of the tounery was well timed and runned... Good games between most of the teams.... But for my team we got burned twice by the Blue's blown calls... and the other issue was mother nature... winds whipped and gusted up to about 50MPH in the middle of play all day Friday day/night.... Most balls hit into the OF's, the wind kicked the ball back to the infields... LOL!!!! Jose Team Demolition #24 |

| March 17, 2008 Smokey20 Men's 55 102 posts | The wind the entire weekend played hell on any fly ball hit in the outfield/infield. Saw a lot of balls hit the ground. Didn't have any problems with the Blues, thought they did a good job overall. When we (MAC) played the Mavericks the "new" rules didn't really change the game at all. Couple of situtations the middle rule should have been called but wasn't. Homerun rule was a non issue. After the second game which being tie one apiece, Terry told us our 6:30 pm winner take all game was being moved to a 9:30 pm start both teams declined and called it a tie. |
